I know this is an old post, but I'm having exactly the same problem. I've also seen a few other people post about the same issue. I have a good computer (e8400, 4GB ddr2, 8800GTX), and a great (up to 10mbps down 2-3mbps up) internet connection. I'm located in the US. I lag too much to play online. My average is around 200-300 and I get spikes of up to several thousand, which eventually kick me out of any game I play. I have no lag issues whatsoev

Update: It now appears that the lag slowly resolves itself over a period of 15 minutes or so. My lag started off at 6000 just in the chat window. The idea of logging in and sitting for 15 minutes before playing a game is not particularly appealing...

I'm on a college connection that routinely gets up to 10mbps down and 2-3mbps up. I've played numerous online games, including WoW, EvE, and COD without having any issues with lag (ie around 60 ping on east coast, 120 on west coast, 200 in europe). Whenever I connect to a game in Sins, my ping stays between 3000 and 6000. When I chat the text appears 5-10 seconds after I push enter. I lag really badly at the beginning of games, although a couple of times it has dropped down to around
