Epic MSPaint win. On topic: It is a very nifty idea. It would be VERY powerful, however, depending on its implementation. Edit: On closer inspection, you probably used photoshop. =/ The spirit of my comment remains.
Perhaps more details can be given on what are the differences between the various levels of difficulties with patch 1.01 (i.e. "easy", "normal", "hard") etc - particularly in relation to AI access to favor items in single player games.
Yeah... there isn't much detail out there as far as I know. Apart from the little blurb in the manual. Page 14. Who knows how accurate that is though. Double post for grea
I am sorry. I said before that the difficulty descriptions are in-game. They are not. They are listed in the game manual.
I don't understand what you mean by "cheating" either.
It's something that is common to many game AIs. The computer is given a material advantage over the human players to make up for the defficiencies in the AI itself. I am not trying to imply that Demigod's AI is all that poor. We're just comparing th
Oh boy. You sure got us good.

Your timing is almost too good to be accidental. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/353900
The title should read "Doughnuts vs The Hubble Space Telescope" On a related note: That would make an awesome name for a punk rock band.
Is your avatar Irving!? Your post was tl;dr, but the avatar is a win in and of itself.
Sorry, I didn't mean that as something that should be done. I think the idea of removing Favour items is terrible, and if your going to remove favour items to attempt to achieve more balance why not remove all the items while your at it, as it makes just as much sense - which isn't much. I agree with you completely - I like Favour items and I'd like to see them stay. Even in competitive matches.
Roger!
Wait. Pantheon games disable favor items? That makes training with them in custom games pointless.
If we're going to try to balance things out for competitive games in this manner, let's remove all items so that the victor is merely the player better at playing their Demigod, not the player with the better gear.
While I see your point, I have to contend that the items you can or can not afford are a measure of
BTW: the AI doesn't cheat, they just have unfettered access to favor items and will use them with extreme prejudice.
Actually it does. Read the difficulty level descriptions in-game.
You know the rules.
Too easy. Edit: Haha your user name breaks the quote code
Yup. I agree. Except for when there are 3, 4, or 5 copies of him running around. There just simply isn't any adjusting to that. I know you could say the same for any other DG. But really... which other DG can kill you from the other side of the map on a 15 second cooldown?
You are missing the fact that Regulus is capable of using abilities other than snipe. He also is capable of using his auto-attack. You engage one regulus and push him out of the lane (as they are very squishy). In the process he gets you to 3/4 life with mines or auto-attack or... well anything. He retreats and calls in the snipes. Pow Pow Pow. Dead. Snipe makes it so that you need to constantly have a (Snipe damage * number of Regulus in game) buffer of health
Like almost any application, when you minimize Demigod the music and normal sound effects fade out. I just stumbled across something that scared the shit out of me and subsequently made me laugh my ass off. I have been playing around with FRAPS and a couple of other video capture options today. This has lead to me Alt-Tabbing out and messing around with settings and watching recordings while Demigod is playing in the background. I tabbed out of the game to watch a repl
I have seen this used effectively too. The only major problems I have seen with snipe is when I am facing two or three Regulus... Reguluses. Reguli! Three snipes raining down with impunity makes some games very frustrating.
regulus is that big ass bucket of water for everyone but a handful of demigods
Gotcha. Very valid point.
He is capturing the video straight from his hardware. Not using any sort of replay feature. Something like Fraps, probably?
True enough, but I know they're earnestly attempting to get those things fixed, and expect to be able too, and I too think they will be able too. It's just a database, and I think they can, and when they do, and get the basic elements hammered out, they need to do this as well.
I can agree with that for sure.
