Wait, this game has a metagame now? I'm sorry, but when did a game that has been out for just a bit over a month that hasn't even been patched to fix bugs, let alone balance patched, get a solid metagame? Also, just out of curiosity, what DGs were on the winning teams?
So first you say that his argument is baseless. And then you ask him for more details? [e digicons]:thumbsdown

I have played my fair share of rook. I LOVE the mechanic of hammer slam and boulder roll. They are the only abilities in this game (as far as I have encountered) that actually require skill to use. Im talking micro. Of course other abilities require skill in timing, strategic conservation of mana, etc. EDIT: So yeah. That's a really noob thing to say. Other abilities require skill to use. I am just trying to say that hammer slam is unique in that it requires its own brand of placement

I use the orb for it's passive effects from time to time. Naturally, I spam it from time to time when I notice its CD is up. It honestly doesn't do much in the way of fighting off giants. Course it's better than nothing.

:) The original FFT is set in a much more interesting version of Ivalice. The combat mechanics are also a lot deeper than they are in the new games (Zodiak-based combat system that resolves attacks and spells based on relative astrological signs anyone?) But really it's the world that kills the new FFT games for players who played in the original Ivalice. Don't even make me mention how they RAPED the whole world in FFXII. Where the hell did all those porn star bunny aliens come from?

That's just about the only way to end fairly-balanced matches on most maps. Are there ways to make maps that would have more interesting gameplay? Yes. For sure. Check out some of The Scottish Alien's map suggestions that are floating around the fourms. As far as your ideas... I don't know. I want to like the idea of not allowing you to cap a flag that your opponent is in range of. But if we did that, I think the cast time of cap locks would need to be reduced slightly. By th

I loved Front Mission. Square FTW. You had me up until Zone of the Enders. This was an arcade style action game. And it was only like four or five hours long. Oh wait. GBA? Now I'm really lost. I only know Z.O.E. as a PS2 game. Maybe you're just getting the name mixed up with something else? Or maybe there is a version I don't know about. IIRC it's a Konami (Metal Gear) game. Don't feel like googling >_ Not in the same setting by any means.... but
