Nice guide Strangler. I'd like to add some ofmy personnal experience into this build which is really a killer build if managed correctly : - buy mist level 1 early. It saved me numerous times from killing snipe shots (as soon as you see Regulus kneel, go to mist form) and removes all negative effects like Mark of the Betrayer and that nasty UB poison. If you have a solid mana pool, it's also a nice tool to wait for your batswarm cd to be ready again. Just don't go into mist fo

I'd say force them to defend. They move slowy, so use that to harass them on flags they cannot defend. Just keep in mind they can teleport on summoned towers ;) I say, early on go for their base towers quickly and rush for cataputlts / Portal flag locking.
I'UB Stun has 15 sec cd, Erebus mass charm has 20 sec, so it should give you time to start running before it's available again. As Ice TB for instance, with the trinket you can avoid taking damage of one stun, and once both stuns are fired you can freeze back and run. Same with Sedna, you can place a heal and start running. I'm not saying it will work every time but it's worth a try.
I don't think you can beat them, but maybe run away. If playing against these guys, i'd recommend getting a lot of HP and armor items, I usually look for at least 35% armor when i play TB. In your particullar case, this item might help overcome at least 1 stun, but i'm not sure if you can use it while stunned. In other words, you will need to activate just before being engaged or spam the button during the first stun to avoid the second one. Orb of Defiance &n
Never fought 3 Regulii, but fought 2 (in a 3v3 game), and a Bramble shielded Erebus bat swarming in the middle of them was almost every time the death of one of them. So I'd say QoT + Erebus + Maybe a Regulus too (for sniping killing blow) might do the job. The 2 generals provide minions against mines, even though you don't really need to care about them since : QoT can remote shield and has ranged attacks, Erebus teleports over them and Regulus has nice range too.
What are you playing? Generally, AVOID 2v1 situations . Can't stress that enough. You can get surprised by an incoming bat swarm, not seeing an UB is an (unforgivable) mistake.
First of all, congrats for that wall of text summonning :) Very good tips, I agree with you almost everything (I think one rank in uproot early in the game, depending on the map and game type can really put the balance in your favor). I've played mixed QoT forms in recent games and it kicks ass, especially in mid-late game, when you become virtually unkillable. Fighting a DG in 1v1 usually results in using : closed form, Shield, Open up, spike, wave, close, shield (munch a sha
As the writer of the Icebuild TB guide, I want to add some precisions to what I wrote. In terms of raw DPS, FB does more damage than IB. That's just plain numbers. But the whole point is, is DG a game about raw DPS or teamplay? When your write " damage IS control ", I couldn't agree less. Controling a fight is determining the outcome, in other words knowing if you can defeat your opponenent or if you will have to run oom or outnumbered. Having the ennemy DG flee
Ok you obviously didn't pick up the sarcasm, I called erebus the most overpowered assassin because that's what he is, he's the best assassin in the game and they had the nerve to give him idols on top of that. I'm not a troll, I'm willing to back up my statement, I've played more then a dozen 2v2's as those 2 generals and never even had a close game. I would love to be proven
Yeah I didn't pick up the sarcasm, sorry. It's true that Erebus is, f
Very nice tips! May I add, on the teleport part, that players can teleport to a friendly tower just poped by their rook mate? So you're playing on a big map, 2 enemies are miles away and you think its a good idea to go 2v1 that left alone rook in the corner... Think again !
I usually take the helm and plate with other demigods, but with the TB I go for the boots. I can creep easily withouth using mana, and by the time I have to use it dry I have enough to afford a Velmish Faceguard. @ Daikaze : I tried to build a TB on Attribute enhancement + ice skills for a +speed +weapon damage optimized built. At level 15-16, I reached around 700-750 damage for an attack speed of 0.75. As nice as it sounds on the paper, I found this template hard to us
Queen of Thorns is the most overpowered general in the game, and Erebus is the most overpowered Assassin.
Have you even played the game ? Erebus is a general too.... I hate to be rude, but these kind of thrown-in statements are just useless and sterile. If you want to explain your point of view, please do so, but if you just want to troll go on WoW forums.
Try Heart of Life instead of Magus Rod / Crowns for mana. Heart of Life also is desirable for a frost based Torch Bearer because of AoE stun, Freeze everything - pop the heart and your back up to full life / mana mid fight.
Works if no DG are around, DG are frozen only 3 secs at max rank. The Magus Rod is a real combat item, where the heart of life could be tricky to use (trebuchet shooting from far away, creep spawn
If you want a specific counter tower Rook build, add a Rank 1 Circle of Fire somewhere. Since the towers are usually concentrated, freeze the towers, RoI them, switch to fire, circle of fire, get out !
If I may add something, I think that Magnificent presence at level 17 is too late. The faster you have it level 3, the faster you can spam Pounce. You can solve the mana issue with 2 crowns (Plenor and Vlemish) + Magus Rod for Pounce/heal at half price. I also suggest that you invested starting gold on monk idol, pretty usefull for ealry creeping and DG fight support. Nice guide though !
Good guide, but in my opinion Innergrace is less important than Magnificent presence. Reduced CD aura kick ass. For speed, get the boots for 1000g. And health, usually you're fine with healing wind + heal + summonded Monk minnions.
Here is "Ice Ice Baby", the long awaited ice TB guide :p http://forums.demigodthegame.com/350282 Great idea to regroup the guides, Sticky plz!
UPDATED June 29 This is my personal guide to the full ice TB build. I will not put a skill order because I believe one has to adapt during a game. Generally I tend to favor these priorities : 1- Rain of ice (RoI) - Nice AOE damage and your only ranged stand alone spell. 2- Permafrost - For fleeing, slowing down fleeing ennemies and mana regen 3- Ice Nova - for disabling towers, stunning DG and incapacitating ennemy DG minions. And most importan
Ah ok, thanks for the info Archon. Btw nice game today, was a close one :)
your rankings are showing up just fine hit game list it shows every game, you do not gain experience for custom games. and it doesnt show a W-L record
Then why is there a Custom Game tab with lots of scores and people showing experience ? I'm just very confused...
Ah ok, thanks for sharing the info. But then why do other player have their info showing up correctly ? Did Bara explain that ? :p
Hey everyone, I don't understand the ranking stats. I've played several custom games on the net, but somehow I still have 0 experience when I search my name on the rankings. Could someone explain me how this works of link me to a post explaining this in details ? Thx
Yes, 1 point in Mist seems unavoidable to me for 3 reasons : - Remove negative effects, priceless. - Allows you to wait for team mate if ganked / in a pinch - Gives nice retreat option. Bat swarm or TP scroll on CD ? Just mist a couple of seconds, 95% of the time the ennemy DG will start focusing on something else which gives you 1 sec to get out of mist -> Bat Swarm -> TP out. I admit I played Erebus only twice, but I've been observing a l
So it's wait and see then, fair enough, thanks :)
Hey everyone, I cannot seem to join any internet game, i get the "trying to connect" message all the time and then nothing happens. There seems to be a similar bug for LAN games, but since this was experienced for online games I thought I'd post it. Are there any router ports I need to open maybe ?
