[quote who="Mumblefratz" reply="59" id="2465112"] And do not site sources like Wikipedia or any other user edited site - they can be influenced and biased to a degree of downright lies.Quoting Wikipedia is far better than quoting nothing at all. So precisely what sources *are* unbiased? ---- The bottom line is that quoting sources is *always* a good thing. This allows someone that disagrees with you to verify your source and *if* they feel it's biased then they

Wow, lots of attention here on this topic. To those who think I only read part of the article... I have read the entire article, all the links, and have done my own research ever since the global warming farce has come to popular belief. I have done my research, and that is why it is a relief that this dishonesty is finally coming out. Computer models can be set up to be biased, just like polls can. And do not site sources like Wikipedi

If there is no "shiftiness" going on, why did Al Gore - the "leader" of the green movement - cancel his next speaking arrangement with no reason given? There has been plenty of bad science going on for a long time... And it is not science that is ruined, it is politicized science, green science. The facts were manipulated to get a conclusion that fit a political agenda. That is not science, that is fabrication, manipulation and loathsome. And it has go

So, the truth has finially come out... http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/21/science/earth/21climate.html Man created global warming has been politicized to the point that scientists have been rigging the results of tests to get the desired result. This is not science, and all those "scientists" should lose the

First up - AI bugs 1. AI does not join players in single player. >> 2. AI does not react to envoy cruisers yet. >> Next, preferance bugs 1. the preferances are not independent, thus not allowing saves, and other setting issues. >> Lastly, improvements.<

Ok, time to add some structure to this beta... List the improvement, bug or balance that is needed in Diplomacy - and we will keep track of it here. I will also track the forums in Diplomacy and add anything I find in other posts to this one. BUGS 1. Preferences not saved separately (devs will fix) 2. Minidu

I think the SG should be a tier 3 tech - with the upgrades only going to tier 5. That would allow them to come out early midgame if needed, and cause a significant slowdown to any attack, giving the defensive player a chance to jump in reinforcements. I rarely see super weapons, so I don't consider them much of a threat. A strong fleet will trump supers any day, every day. (though I find the Vasari jumping to be VERY useful) [e digicons]*_*[/e]

yes, a single cap... I'm talking about +3 or more. If you do your scouting right, you will see the massing fleet and be able to divert resources to the proper counter... capitals, flak and LF. Each race has a good single unit killer cap, a support/healer and a mass damage ship. Get those three for your respected race, throw in some flak, lf of your own, and have some xp! I can just see the TEC with a lvl 6 marza

I think the balance is fine as is. scouts are weak, even in mass numbers. LFs, flak and caps can all kill them quite easily. The Advent are the toughest, but that seems fair due to their weak eco and early game bonuses.... On a different note - I do think the defense structure consts should go down (turrents/hangers). Drop that by 25% and all will be well.

if you simply move your fleet along the escape route, your ships will fire at any enemy within range. some ships will be better at this than others, so experiment with your fleet composition to find what works best. And some capital ships can disable ships from jumping away :) You could also use jump degrigation buildings in your wells to slow the fleets down.

Was it a vasari starabase? If it was, i would say he used repair vortex and frontal sheilds. very hard to destroy....

I can already foretell the results on some of this.... The advent Carrier spam will kill the Vas. if only skirms are used. The Vas player on point blank will be killed within 20 mins if the reaction time is not good enough.... 40 minutes if he gets a starbase on the homeplanet soon enough. Thats my prediction. Let the testing begin!
