Being an older guy, I recently downloaded Ur-Quan masters to get a feel of the Star Control experience. The Space Combat is really annoying. Sure, I could spend hours in the Super Melee trying to master it, and really I enjoy the other aspects of Star Control a lot, but the space combat is a deal breaker. The Space Combat is why I gave up on Ur-Quan ultimately. Mind you, I don't mind the occasional top down shooter (Starscape for example), but it really frustra

I'm trying to remember the game now (Pax Imperia?), that had various governors you could recruit. Essentially, each Governor had various stats, that affected different things (income, research, etc.). So you'd be on the lookout for a 'research specialist' to place on your research colony, etc. It might also be cool to be able to assign various fleet admirals to different fleets. Abilities/stats they might have could include initiative, agressiveness
I'm guessing that was a Kenata mod. Some of the things he introduced with his mods have since found their way into the Elemental 'stock' weapon abilities. I haven't noticed Kenata around since the E:WOM days. I wasn't paying much attention during the E:FE days, so I'm not sure at which point Kenata disappeared. His E:WOM or E:FE Mods might be an interesting place to look for weapon ability ideas. As for 'Aim', I&
Well, since Primal Savage burst onto the scene, he has made many mods. I'm not surprised if one slips through occasionally.
More mods good! Well, it was bound to happen eventually. I didn't notice this thread when it was posted, so apologies for not adding this to the list earlier. This mod has NOW been added to the Regularly Updated List of mods for E:LH. [e digicons][/e]
I saw some fighter-ey looking craft in the trailer. I'm sure thay are just tiny craft, but it would be cool if the Humans brought fighters into the Gal Civ universe! See Gratuitous Space Battles for a cool fighter implementation... I always enjoy seeing those swarms of fighters juking around in circles and zooming back and forth across the map. So pretty, in a lethal sorta way. But I digress. Getting excited! I was playing ToA again j

This sounds like an object sanity thing. Some files may only be modified through the core directories only, the mod folder doesn't always work. So I'm not surprised to see you mention this. I haven't tried adding .wav files and such to Elemental, so I can't confirm or deny your findings, but you might want to make a note of it in this thread: <a title="https://forums.elementalgame.com/434780/page/1/#3378469" href="https://forums.elementalgame.com/43

While I picked it primarily because I'm left handed (many trackballs are designed for right handers), and it has a symmetric layout, I've been using iterations of it for well over a decade now. <a title="http://www.lo
Also, on the builders forge utility, some of us do not have scroll wheels on our mice, laptops, etc., or in my case my marble mouse DOES have a scroll wheel function that the forge does not recognize. It'd be nice to have some keyboard shortcuts for zoom in-out using the builders utility, instead of/in addition to just the scroll wheel. It is rather difficult to build new tiles when you can't zoom in... and I like the mouse I have (helps me avoid carpal tunnel issues).</
I've suggested this before. Formation options: As I mentioned before, when units are placed, the game will try to overlay the formation onto the map as best it can, shifting individual u

If someone would like to button up this code up into a zip/.xml file with the appropriate category headers, and upload it so that others can download it, I will be happy to add it to the mods list. I think it is a great idea, that some will be interested in!
