Beck is a Libertarian
o_O [e digicons][/e] Beck is to Libertarianism as Oreos are to health food; his actions (the repeated criticizing, bashing, slandering, etc.) of Barr/Paul, his followers, and most libertarians tends to cast a large shadow on his claim. Then again, some conservatives do reform. ;) :p
I am confused.. what exactly are you two going on about? And what does it have to do wth the debate about good vs evil in politics or ideologies? I find that issue more interesting than you guys snarling at each other. Even though there is an entertainment value to it, maybe I should get popcorn for the next time I check JU lol. Cheers
For me, it comes down to the fact that it pisses me off to no end (call it a pet peeve) when people make snide comments.
"Palestinians" (exclusively Arab such) did not exist until the 1960s. The region you call "Palestine" was made up of the Ottoman provinces of Jerusalem and Beirut.
Wrong, first off, there has been a difference in that area's arabs and other regions arabs. secondly, it wasn't until the 1960s, it was 1834. thirdly, their identity today is merely a transition from what it once was. your own words do not deny that they were not palestinians before &nb

I do admit I may have jumped the gun - but - my point still stands, why do you fucking bash people who are liberals? What is the point in such bullshit? It's that type of crap that screws everyone over. That being said...you know, after reading this and then re-reading this, you've taught me something that I should've remembered. People just don't fucking give a damn about others, and they will do whatever they want, civility be damned. People like you and others
Um, racism isn't about ethnicity or culture (specifically) - it's about race, so setting that and the fact of the lack of a real biological basis for race...there can be a palestinian people, for your information. In fact, they would fall under an ethnic group. Just as you have the Jewish people, americans, etc. It's a misconception to think of them as merely just Arabs. That's like saying that Sunni's and Shiites are simply Moslims. It ignores the differences and th
I never said that I even believe that there is a "Palestinian people". I find the concept of a "Palestinian people" racist. It's like an "American people" that excludes blacks. If you name a people after a location but exclude a certain ethnic group, you are engaged in racism. I try to avoid that.
Um, racism isn't about ethnicity or culture (specifically) - it's about race, so setting that and the fact of the lack of a real biological basis for race

Dear gawd...I've implied that what I think Obama is doing is WRONG, repteadly. If I think it's wrong, why would I be excusing it.
Could you please provide an example at this level. Even at the high of Dan Rather's hit piece, the Bush's never tried to block access to the ABC. Clinton's Press room still took questions from FOX during the Dress scandal. Major Garret had gone two weeks without being picked for a question in the Press room, until the rest of the Press Pool refused to enter in protest. I think it depends on the person blacklisting and the specific case. There are times where I just say fuck it to a "discussion" because the person is going beyond debating, and getting too damn personal. I don't know about you but I don't particularly care for personal attacks, it's crap. In that case, as well as when someone is spamming/trolling/harrassing, I think blacklisting is just fine and likely the only reasonable choice. ~AJ

I had a thought Nitro. What are you thoughts concerning how some media personalities have tossed around communism, mao, socialism, and so on so forth. Heck, there was a claim that our country is becoming communistic. I seem to remember you and others calling people who claimed that we were in a dictatorship under Bush, crazy. That he was no dictator, and to call him that was assinine and trivialized the true dictatorships that happened and the crimes they committed. Tell me, are you the same
When it comes to defending life, shooting at the attacker is necessary.
There's a point where it goes beyond merely defending yourself or your country/family. There's a point where you begin to use that noble concept as a justification for any over step, miscues, etc. Israel has gone past that a number of times in my opinion.
