i never altered od and i only alter to add support for other programs that let me use my mic or camera and i get a good idea of the code before i start changing it
and also i live in the middle of nowhere and have no acess to a bus/car/bike
man i leave for a couple of hours to sleep and all hell breaks loose meh and i'm getting a job at wallmart and i need some inspiration for a bg so
but i'm talking about altering the code to make it less restricted ie: no voice support, no camera support and so on

does any one follow them any more or are they just looked at as little annoyances that are on a peice of paper and if a company tells you to pay for somthing then turns around and sells you'r e-mail adress to other company's they should be responsible for the lawsuits later
if you will look at all i have downloaded it's not allot and my computer was completely wiped after i installed the trial of object desktop so i'm quite pissed off at them for it cause i lost all the important information that i gained over the years plus my information games and other large files that took me days to download
now that's a invasion of their privacy policy and in my country i can get a legal suit agenst the company that released my name or other things
but that's not the plan of the stardock company they just want money and plubisity it's what company's do and they don't have to have that message when you open more then one page
and that's another bonus
but the fact that you have to pay to download pictures off a site is isane and you have to make an account to add them the way i look at it is if you'r making a site to put out pictures then do it right
i got my pc from my grandfather and i have free aol internet and i'm under age so take that
most of us don't have jobs and if we do we use them to pay for a house/car/morgage/insurance..... and there's others that don't live in the stated where the ammount we have to pay turns from $50 to $150 or more so that's gonna be a problem suckering people to pay (if you want a fast server make a scsi server running a T1 or T3 line)
free's the way to be cause if you allready know how to program you can just change the code in it
i have 1 that i use but there are many that have been un-used

ok i have a programming class that can make me somthing better and i can put it out for free instead of paying like ..... $20 for it secondly if you'r gonna make a site devoted to custom stuff then you should have had the fore sight to get a big scsi harddrive and a high speed connection it's just poor planning

yea it's pissing me off too and i think it's just a way to make us annoyed enough to actually buy the programs that you can only do a couple of things and it dosen't even work during startup or anything like the real os that it's trying to be the way i look at it wincustomise should just go get a new partner like game spy or somthing and most of the skins don't work right any way and the programs a
i use 98 but it has been heavily tweaked to the point that it will do what ever i want and for xp *quivers in fear* it's home edition is so limited and locked out that it's utterly useless to the advanced user if i get xp i would only use pro and not home
