Thanks for the clarification kryo. Would I be able to use an OEM version of windows bought off of newegg? Those are substancially (spelling fail) cheaper than a "normal" version but would it cause any problems? Thanks.

@the___Goo- The RAM I selected is on that list, under DDR2 1066. Its the only G skill ram on their. Thanks though. So I will hafta buy a new windows then? Gah that sucks. Theres no way getting around it? Thanks everyone.
Okay, so I'm gradually getting the parts I need to build my new computer up. Im using this MoBo , this CPU , This VidCard , this RAM , This <a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as
Well if your going to play pantheon thats part of the problem as that connects you to random people so you'll probably play with alot of Americans. Try hosting a game in custom games and say asian host or something and see if that helps.
You can already do that StAcK3D_ ActR. You can edit the starting war rank and such do test things like that. I believe what he means is an actual single player campaign. With a plot. and more than just bot matches. However I don't think the genre really lends itself well to such an endevour, unless you completley change the way demigod pl
The Ai is well............Retarded. And you can adjust the speed to make it faster or slower. Alot of people think the normal speed is too slow so they play only on the fast speed.
@dsjack- I could and I've been using one but my room is on the otherside of the house so I need a 50 foot one and its annoying to have it snake through the house. @Psuedomelon- I have very recent firmware and its not that as its been unable to do this with the xbox and wii for years. @mooster- There is a cordless house phone right next to the router. I doubt thats causing the problems though as my computer is in the same room as the ps3 and it connects wirelessl
I have a G Wireless router. Now both my brothers 360 and my ps3 both cant connect to this thing wirelessy. I think it may be because Its type G and not A or B. Anybody know whats happening?
[quote who="Deepsmoke" reply="7" id="2323016"]Hehe, I've had to neglect my computer for a while now because of buying a house a few years back, but I'm hoping to be able to get a new generation all singing all dancing system in a couple of years time. I was interested in the Alienware range, but now that Dell has taken over I don't know whether it's had any effect on their systems (better or worse? Considering the guys there were pretty clued up prior to the Dell take over, I can only hope th
What game are you trying to run? It could be a conflict with the game or it might be that theres a problem with your secondary card.

Problem is I don't have it. I'll talk to my friend and see if he forgot to give it to me or something.
Well it is a used card wizard. Its pretty clean however. But since I got it everytime I've turned on my computer Ive gotten a message saying that its not recieving the power it should be and I need to attach the power connector. It stopped saying that though a few days before it started doing this. @Rantoc that wasn't the problem in my case unfortunately. I could hear the fan kicking on when I started gaming.
Yes well unfortunately I don't happen to have a spare video card lying around hah.
Maybe you should just try reinstalling it. That works more often than not haha.
I don't think so. The GPU was extremely hot everytime this happened and I touched the MOBO to see if maybe it was overheating too and it wasnt cool. So no I'm 99% sure its the GPU.
Okay well I turned the fail on full bear but still the same problem. This is strange because I've been using the same case and card for long enough that it shouldnt just be happening all of a sudden. I'm thinking that Maybe the first time I did overheat it, but now its just screwed up and cant properly cool itself once that happened. Anyways I'm running it off of the onboard 7100 which is less than ideal. But its all I can do atm. Anyone have any other ideas why this might be happening?
Oh my god thank you wizard! The an was set at 30% by default and was idling at 62 degrees celsius :O
Hello everyone, about a month ago the fan on my geforce 9500 GT broke and it overheated and fried. I replaced it with a Geforce 7950 GT that had a much better fan on it. However, Today I was playing a mod for unreal tournament 3 called the haunting (really good mod if you have UT3 you should check it out), and I had been playing on and off for about 3 hours or so, when all of a sudden The screen announces it has no connection and goes to sleep, and the sound kept looping until I had to manual
Haha this thread has made me laugh. I think You all have valid points and just to be on the safe side, I'm gonna format the hard drive and start over, and probably pick up a better cpu cooler down the road. Thanks for all the help everyone :)
Well, this is something I dont really understand, My computer came with a D drive, which is used for recovery. Anyone know how that works? It didnt come with recovery discs.
Oh, so I wouldnt actually need to buy anything for that? I could just format it and then recover my windows and itd be good to go?
Well I dont think Im going to over clock the CPU (at first anyways), so I didnt think I would need anything beyond the stock CPU cooler. And I will need a new windows and such you say? Why is that? Could I format my old HDD and just put a new windows on it? Thanks
Oh I see thank you. Ok one more thing. Im building this computer (Obviously) And I wanna make sure I havn't forgotten Something Or something isnt compatible. So, in addition to the MoBo and the GPU, I also plan to get this Case , This DVD Drive , This Processor , Th
