When you start Sins of a solar empire, entrenchment or diplomacy. Just start the sins of a solar empire if thats all your friend has. Impulse itself can be a very tricky program and it is fustrating. The good thing is your account on impulse registars what you have purchased. Make sure that the impulse program is updated in addition prior to updating sins. If your trying to play diplomacy and it is crashing you need to install and update entrenchment also Vanilla Sins Entrenchment then diplomacy I would assume you have to make sure they are updated fully before you start the next. Maybe the directory is installing to a different folder which is creating your issue. I wish I could be more help.

If you are on the fence about wether or not you want to buy diplomacy. You should its an awsome game. However in the event that you dont like the sound of it. Please support the game devs for maintaining this 3 year old game. With new patches every month and listening to its community. Besides the better sales the faster we get SINS2? or The first Expansion. They said and I quote, "MICRO".
Diplomacy is great I highly recommend it, if not for the pacts alone make the game that much greater. I would play online more but if I could pause people would get upset, I have kids :) Alex take a day off from eatting Carls Jr. save 10 bucks and buy diplomacy and support the game devs. Whether or not you play the game. As they continue to upkeep the game and make it better and better.

I think you should be able to registar it however you cannot play Diplomacy just yet.....
If you love the game then yes, in fact you will look back and wonder how you could play without the expansion.... Happy hunting

I like the idea however, I would want to designate a route because the computer goes through he star planets or non colonizational planets which might have massive wars in them to get to an ally world, IE Foriegn Invasion always massive battles in the astriod belts.
