the problems with DA are true, lack of HP, lack of starting speed, lack of good area effect all while being a melee character. If one of those was tweaked a little i think people would like him more. as stands his weakness against grunts is the biggest problem since he is the worst against them. Pacov I totally agree with you people waist Swap more than any other power in the game imo. So powerful if use correctly, and such a waist if not. I have even seen people help the enemy escape by swapping because they are all excited in a fight and are just spamming their powers. I could see getting WA instead of lvl 7 warp cause it is another 100 damage net on your burst, but now you need another 700 manna on a character that already needs allot of manna and you would have to give up some sp

Ok so i tried checking out the grunt damage. How I did it was by using Occ and killing the on coming wave so the grunts could go to the tower untouched. Grunts and priests with full armor verses the normal light tower would get killed in about 10 attacks per wave. With the upgrade I noticed the average dropped to around 9 attacks, and with 25% it was around 6-7 attacks regularly. There were some outliers with higher level towers taking 9-10 attacks if the wave got dispersed well around it but

splash damage is a little harder to test but I noticed the same exact amount of damaged whether it was the DG being hit directly or the grunts being hit and the demigod taking splash damage from being close by. Not once did I see anything that would show a division of the damage by 10, in fact not once did I see the damage of the upgraded towers go below the damage of the towers without upgrades.

I don't know about most powerful ability but swap is definitely the most versatile ability. Silence is the one ability that negates sigils and those are the most powerful item in the game so if used correctly I might give it to silence just cause of that.

you know i have been curious about that ever since Hedgie claimed that it reduces the damage. I just tested it and the idea that it reduces the damage done by the towers ten fold is totally bogus. I set up a game on lan between 2 computers so i could see the damage before and after the upgrade had been bought. Using sedna at lvl 20 without added armor, but added health so i could see allot of attacks without her dying, one light tower by itself was doing around 320 to 350 damage per attack. A

any stat system can and will be exploited. The only solution is to get people to grow up and take a loss with some dignity. So in other words there practically is no solution.

i do like the idea of only being able to have one of each type of item, and I also wish that rarely used items were tweaked so there were more options in a build. But really the only thing that i want changed in DG more than anything else is the stability.

i tried your build last time i played on cat and did not like it as much as with HW. I use to play SoR allot but have gone more HW lately, perhaps on levi it SoR would be allot better cause of the manna regen + there are usually more opportunities to snipe being most often a 4v4+ game there instead of 3v3. The ability to lvl gives you more damage from your powers sooner and you don't have to get bot as early cause you can still break the fog for the kill.

yes (if you can find it cheap), but be open to advice and know there is a learning curve cause it is PvP. Hedgie is right on in this post . Really what keeps me coming back is the game play and the people, once you get playing with some better people it really is a great game.

My DA Build has been up for a while. I got some positive and some negative feed back for it. I should up date it cause there are a few things i do differently now but really nothing major (the skill tree is the same). I have been getting NR around lvl 5 to 10 (i still get unbreakable boots first) just to try to speed up the the xp to get lvl 10 as fast as possible. BotF is definitely the training wheels with DA, around lvl 5-7 it really has lost its edge when going against a DA with a different favor. Personally i play Anklet.
