I still can't get into the site... The home page comes up but I can't log in. If I click on forum post the page comes up and shows me logged in, But if I try to post or go back to home page I get a "Oops, we can't open the web page you requested ... - Error Unknown - Unknown error with URL It's been like this since skinnalicious went to a new server.

Some times DX can be very intimidating to some people. It is vast and complex in certain areas. There are just too many things that can be done and done differently and what is easy for one person may be hard for another. Just an idea here. You can also do this with in DX it's self.. Go to properties of your button or object that you want the mouse to hover over.. go to the states tab, On mouse away go to messages click on add..In the next window check (object ID) then browse till you find the name of your object that you want to pop up (You did name your objects???).. then in message pick (HIDE ) now go to mouse over and do the same thing only now the message will be (SHOW) Make sure that you have checked "Object ID " and NOT BR

"desktop Tab" click on where it says work area make sure that all the spaces have (0) in them..Each theme will have different setting according to the person that made the theme.. Hi First of all do you have do you have the free version or the paid version? In order to add objects to your theme you will need to be in the DesktopX Builder mode. You will need the paid version to do this...To change right click your desktop in the popup window click on DesktopX in the next window Click on switch to DesktopX builder. DesktopX (client) is the normal running state of DesktopX You can't edit any thing while running in the client mode. DesktopX builder is the state you run if you want to edit any thing such as text or add graphics.. To switch between the two right click desktop then on the popup window it will either say desktopx client or desktopx builder click on that.. the next popup window will give you the option to switch between the two.. hope this helps

This is a script that I have used on some of my themes It works fairly good but one draw back is that the button to roll or unroll has to be on the roll up object. I would like to have the button located on another object I have tried to modify the script my self with out any luck. I was wonder if any one can help me with this.. Must be another quirk of DX I don't even have "Run Automatically" checked and DX loads for me when windows starts.. just an idea but uncheck it and see what happens.. You never know..
Yes cloning is great. When I make my themes and I am making my text shortcuts I make all the effects that I want to use such as different colors for mouse away and mouse over. shadows, sounds or outlines. Then all I have to do is keep cloning the shortcut then bring up the properties and change the text.. Saves a lot of time when making a lot of menus. another little trick I use, is to make my menus. then make my text then position my menu make all the child parent settings then clone it as man
With desktopX client you can set the Target or (path) to a new program or URL by right clicking the shortcut and click on (set target) then navigate your way to the program or URL you want, Then when you click on the shortcut it will take you to the program you want.. How ever you can not edit the text in client mode you have to be in the builder mode to edit or change any thing.....

To make a popup menu in DX with out adding new scripts.... Not sure what you mean by normal menu.. But to create a pop up menu. 1 create to objects 1 of which will be your button the other will be your menu. assign your Graphics to your button and your menu on the states page of the Objects properties ...give your MENU OBJECT an ( object ID ) on the summary page of it's properties. then go to the relations tab and set the popup to (toggle) then hit apply. next go to t

Just wanted to say thanks to one and all for the scripts that you have been posting. It helps out pepole like me that can make graphics and love to do DXThemes, But just can't seem to get a handel on scripting...
I have never used the Horizontal task. But I just made one and I have the same problem the text stays vertical.. Also noted that you can not use the large icon option unless you make the task at least 45 pix. wide.. Sorry I can't be of more help other then to let you know some one else has the same problem.. Sounds like one for stardock support..
