I usually get a point in bolder roll if I'm having trouble Hammer Slamming people. Otherwise I'll put it off for other stuff.

What's the progression in gear from this? I.e. What piece should go first to be replaced and with what? Just looking for some advice. I picked a few things from this build and it really improved my playing. I think my last game I put in a godplate over the duelist
have you played rook? he's mana heavy if you want to kill a demigod
I know. Vlemish Faceguard + Plenor Battlecrown fixes most mana problems, and it's only 3250 gold for both items. It's been 5 days since release, and dark side is already up to 60%. That's like 10% a day, so it'd take 10 days for a reset. Also, Pantheon will start resetting quicker as more people start playing it (e.g. connectivity is improved, more people buy the game).
It's only dangerous against low HP builds. Any tank build is going to have at least 20+ hp regen by the time you're level 10, which means it's down to 1300 damage. Also, Regulus with mines and MotB can get out 3600 damage + 70% slow. This is far worse then spit, is probably a death sentence for that DG. Also, spit has nothing on a tank Rook. He'll have so much regen and health he'll just shrug it off. What's REALLY scary is Spit + Ooze
In Regulus's description it says "Good at killing Demigods". You also have to remember, that any Reg with that many kills went a DPS build, which means he has the worst health and armour in the game.
An item isn't fine just because both teams can get it. Leave this item as is and the game will revolve around it.
Have to disagree. 14k is nearly enough to upgrade angels, catas and Giants all at once (400 gold short). It won't matter if someone on the enemy team has it, if half their team are stuck in base fending off waves of Giants. Also it won't help much vs a nuke heavy team (e.g. UB, Torchbearer and Rook) since if they're
Ack, I wrote a guide for Rook, but these silly forums ruin my formatting when I copy/paste it. So, here's a link.
I don't really see any reason to. Usually once towers start dying, their already near useless against enemy DGs anyway or they have catas/Giants. I guess they'd be useful for that first tower to die, save it around level 5-10.
Pretty much every melee DG is terrible vs a good rook except early on (assuming you can dodge hammer). Rook hates ranged people, mainly Regulus and TB. You'll never catch a good TB and he'll just wear you down. Regulus can outrange your towers, and you'll never catch him, so he can do the same. The reason melee DGs are terrible vs him is because... Well my strat is abuse towers. I don't fight melee DGs unless I have the drop on them (e.g. roll + hammer, they low on HP, lower lev

If I'm ever in a game where my entire team is AI, and the entire enemy team is AI, I usually just quit. I also quit if the entire enemy team is AI unless it's gonna end in like 5-10 minutes. Really, should just remove AI. Having AI on your team atm is a handicap. :/
Well, I did my testing by frapping the game, then finding the exact 2 frames using Virtualdub where I killed the unit. I'm 100% sure you get 4 gold for killing a minotaur and 8 for archers and you don't get any if the creeps kill them. You also get 300 gold for killing a light tower, but you won't get any if creeps kill it. Of course, you may get gold if you shoot it once or twice... I dunno.
That's proving my point: FPS's don't use P2P even though it's clearly quicker BUT more inaccesible. Glad we got that out of the way.
p2p is not quicker, and it probably never will be. Pretty much anything that uses client-server these days (e.g. all source games, Tremulous) is asynchronous. The server is correct. The server tells all the clients what is happening. The server ALWAYS beats clients in an argument
Regs, TB, LE, Oak, UB, even Sedna all mop the floor with Rook if played correctly. Even QoT can bramble shield. My lord, Hammer Slam is visible from three counties off. Well I was just doing some testing, and you only get gold from creep kills if you last hit. Same with towers. Although, you might get gold if an ally DG last hits. I don't know. I just know creeps killing enemy creeps doesn't give you gold.
Well, I'll give you a few tips. Pretty much every DG that can ability spam (most of them) is gonna need a lot of mana. There's 2 helms, the 3rd and 4th (1500g and 1750g each) that will give every DG in the game 30+ mana regen and a ton of mana pool. Get the 1750g helm first, then get the other one if you're using abilities a lot. With these 2 you'll basically never run out of mana unless you end up in an extended fight (1-2 minutes). Otherwise it's really dependant on what DG yo
Portal Grunts split xp and gold between every allied DG in (long) range of the kill.
You sure about this? I could understand exp being split, but afiak gold is kill based.
This is even better when you have Giants. :D I could see 2 people doing this to both spawns on Cataract being REALLY REALLY annoying, since they can perma lock both flags (spell lasts 45 seconds, cooldown is 45 seconds).
Lol, this reminds me of something. I was trying to play a Pantheon with QoT. First game I got Rook (wtf?!) and the second game I got Erebus. 3rd game I got QoT, but everyone else was AI D:. 4th game actually worked. :D

Really, the game should end if one side is all bots, the human team winning. And yeh, I agree that bots should be removed from Skirmish and Pantheon. There should be an option for them in Custom Games. For when people leave, the following suggestion sounds good.
I think the better solution would be to have some sort of "supplement system" for when people leave. So for example, you sell off all of that player's items and split th

Now that I think about it, once giants are out the best hero is QoT easily, because she can 1 shot entire creep waves except for the Giants, which she shouldn't have much trou
Ok this is seriously bothering me. Pretty much every General in this game can be played without any minions. The worst of the lot is Erebus, who can often solo well, every Assasin. At the same time, when I've played Generals, I've found there minions to be quite lackluster. Even with items boosting them, they don't come close to a DPS Unclean Beast or Regulus build. They ignore my minions running right into the mob and kill me no problem, losing maybe 50% health if I'm lucky.&nb
Wel, if you're talking about defense... Then definately Rook. QoT is best at taking out creeps (lvl4 ground spike kills everything but giants) but she can't stop DGs. A Rook with Hammer Slam + Towers + Shoulder upgrades can slow them down a ton. If they're melee they won't be able to push at all because 5+ towers + Rook will just rape them. If they're ranged, they'll get slowed down a ton, since they have to take out all your towers and avoid letting you get close. So ye
