Also: You cannot expect 4 people to go out and buy this game, come home and be able to connect to each other. Really, pacov? Because you know, if I see a game advertising 5v5 Internet multiplayer, I DO ABSOLUTELY expect to be able to buy 10 copies and then play 5v5 games over the Internet. If what you mean is instead, "This game is broken and has too many problems to expect that to work," then I absolutely agree with

woppin: There are known solutions to the problem you are describing. QuakeWorld (John Carmack) invented the general solution more than a decade ago, which involves client-side prediction and correction. One of the problems is allowing the speed of the computer to dictate the speed of the game, instead of simply the framerate. When you design a multiplayer game around frames instead of around real time, then you end up with this problem. It's a result of developers being too id
Good job, Stardock. Good job. Chalk up another screw-up onto your scorecard.
I want to play Demigod with my friends. So badly. But nothing ever works . There are a million tiny problems. If they aren't fixed, then I will just have to give up the pipe dream of actually enjoying Demigod. We did a 5v5. One person's machine was slow, so everyone played the Demigod: The Slideshow for about 8 minutes until someone quit. THAT IS BAD DESIGN. A slow machine shouldn't ruin everyone else's game! I know you made Demigod lock-step on purpose as an attempt to keep l
I wouldn't give too much credence to your detractors by quoting them. Clearly you've admitted fault for both GPG and Stardock many times previously, and made it clear that you don't blame Gamestop for networking issues. And it's ridiculous for someone to object to the publishing of information that they are not required to read on the grounds that they don't want to read it.
I've won a game paired with an AI against 2 human players. That being said, if I had the option to turn off AI players, even if it took twice as long to find a game, I would do it. Especially if it keeps people from quitting at game start. Give players the options they want: no AI, team size (2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5), etc., and let them see how many players are looking for the same game type as them. Also, are the game options really random ?? Because that seems like a HORR
Something I DESPERATELY want from Demigod that I really think should be in 1.1: The ability to join Skirmish and Pantheon games as a team. I'm NOT talking about the strange Clan Warfare stuff you've mentioned before. All I want is to get online with my friend, join a team, and find a game to play 2v2 or 3v3. I want to play in rated games, but I also want to play with my friends, and use auto-matchup. Please! PLEASE.
Can we get some Stardock confirmation on this? Is this problem being worked on? It really affects gameplay for people who have these cards (seems to be Geforce 7 series--at least 7950 and 7800).
This occurred when attempting to make a Skirmish match--I had previously failed to connect two or three times (said I was kicked), and the last time the game crashed with this: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at address 0x0098e510 attempted to read memory at 0x00000018 Program : C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe Cmd line arguments : Callstack: Unknown symbol (address 0x0098e510)<b
