The Favour item that is supposed to give you 10% off the monetary value doesn't work properly. If you purchase it, items will appear as though they are 10% less in the menu (e.g. Angels 3240) but they remain redded out until you actually have the full amount (e.g. Angels 3600).
"That already happens bad enough. Look at Empire Total War and Dawn of War 2. When did their reviews come out? Quite a bit later. Why? To give the devs time to put out patches. " Why is everyone so convinced there is a giant conspiracy against Demigod? I bought both ETW and DoW2 on release day and both worked FINE in multiplayer.
"In fact, most PC titles have a pirating rate near or greatly exceeding 50% anyway." So most PC games have a 50% pirate rate, but Demigod happens to have a 1000% pirate rate. Strike you as a little odd?
I disagree. I was playing a four vs four on the map set in space last night, and our team was stuck for about an our inside our base getting constantly smashed by the enemy (inc Giants) but they just couldn't kill our citadel. We were all to close to the health stone. The only reason the match ended was because I crashed.
Simple solution. If a player drops he is replaced by a medium AI bot. If the rest of his team wish to contine playing with this disadvantage, that is upto them. A playing dropping should always be interpretted as a surrender whether it was intentional or not. If all the players on one team drop the game is over. This goes for Pantheon and Custom. Bots should NEVER be selected in Pantheon to make up the numbers on one side at the start of a game. That is retarded.
Why are people so sure P2P is a magic bullet for lag? If someone is lagging in P2P then everyone lags and the experience is bad for everyone. At least in a client/server one lagger doesn't affect your game.
Eject hasn't worked for me once.
120,000 pirates on at the same time? I just don't believe that. Check how many downloads this game has on the popular filesharing servers and add them together. The number doesn't even come close, and you expect me to believe they all logged on simultaneously? Its much more believable that there were about 5,000 uses pinging the servers multiple times due to the rediculous way the game makes requests ALL THE TIME, e.g. when you leave the intro sequence.
The real reason P2P is used is because its cheaper. You don't need to provide servers to host the game. In my experience, Client/Server is far more reliable. Because we are still struggling to get games working properly, we haven't even really seen a lot of the bugs that are going to become apparent in Demigod. If there is no Server, how can the game really judge accurately who has won the match? Just look at the Company of Heroes drop hacking bug that still exi
Totally biased review. The core component of the game doesn't work, but maybe it will get fixed in the future, so we will just ignore the issue? The fact is we haven't really been able to scratch the surface for bugs yet because actually playing a game is so difficult. How anyone could right an accurate review when the game has been out less than 3 days is beyond me.
Sure, its knows 3 vs 1 and 2 vs 1.

Thus far I haven't been able to "eject" a single person. I highlight them, click eject, confirm and sweet fuck all happens. Great fix.
"But it is interesting. Complain that the is no campaign, and you will hear "it is a MP game". Complain that the MP doesn't work, and you will hear "SP works fine"" Exactly, there's some horrendous fanboism going on.
Some of the Fanboism in here is hilarious. To wit: "they've given multiplayer-focused games stellar reviews (see: UT 2004) WITHOUT mentioning a lack of a single player/story-based campaign as a downside." Guess what, UT2004 WORKED when it was first released. What we have here is a multiplayer game where the multiplayer doesn't work, so I'd say 6.5 is pretty fucking generous.

Also Im not sure why you are copying and pasting this stuff from the chat room into the forum. Is it really necessary? Are you so hurt by people criticizing the obvious and gamebreaking bugs that are in the game?
CoH - Couldn't play till first patch (on mp) Thats not true. I was there for the beta and the release. Half-Life 2 No problems with HL2 for me. "Age of Conan - Balance was horrible" If only we could dream the balance is horrible in this game. First we need to get it working properly before we can even think of that.
Better still, autorefresh the list, but do it in the background like every other game in existence so the whole thing doesn't lock up for 20 seconds everytime it does it.
[quote who="ViViDGear" reply="7" id="2141629"]People you exaggerate.... Which game runs perfect these days direc after release? None! And demigod has quite good ingame balancing and is playable for most people ( my guess 80%). And like it is with every online game there are people which have problems with connection. If someone buys World of Warcraft and isnt able to connect everyone would blame him for being unable to open the cor
There's a difference between "filled with problems on the day of release" (which is an exaggeration for most games) and being almost unusable for what it was intended (which is not an exaggeration for this game).
LOL just got a game after 30 mins. 2 players dropped before it started
I stand corrected over the chat facility.
To say this is 100 times worse than, for example, Relic Online gives you some idea how bad it is. Having bought the game earlier today, actually succeeding in connecting to a game was pretty difficult - as the hours have gone past its now become impossible. Both Custom Match and Pantheon are dire, it spends about 5 minutes telling you its trying to connect, then another 5 minutes showing you connecting to each individual player, and then you spend
