Of course, this shouldnt be a problem. The reason the harder AI's cheat is because in a game of tactical choices, AI's fall behind. Hence to make it challenging, they get to cheat. Still, Nightmare AI is only as good as mediocre players if you ask me. They just do incomprehensible things or make very bad decisions (like teleporting to and capturing flags they already own that have merely been walked through by the oponent. They still get the bonus for the flag yet the still insist on teleport

The cooldown is unfortunately very short. 7s I believe. If you have 2 or 3 high dps chars on your side you can indeed break the shield and kill her before she can raise it again. There is also the abilities that increase cooldown. Those can help but again it really relies on having a large amount of good DPS. Yuo are corrcet however that focusing on shield skill and items to perma shield you and your allies does reduce her offesnsive effectiveness. The main thing here is this is one o
My pleasure Olorin. Sorry about the information overload but it seemd like a long wall of text centered on the main problems was what you needed to get the hamser running in its wheel. I encourage you, now that you have tried both extremes to find a good middle ground. Try playing a game where for every gold you spend on yourself, you spend one on the ctadel. See how that works for you and then adjust. One of the great things about this game is that the most effective way to do things are dif
Excellent. There ya go Droper66, you managed to come up with a piece of useful information. You have graduated to scrub+1. Gratz.
Well quite a few people will come in here saying Focus attack it to break the shield or stop her from casting in the first place or any other aount of unhelpful advice. The only thing you can really do is: A: hope you have a high enough DPS that you can focus HER and kill her shield and her. Trying to take on her allies with her shielding is a losing battle. B: GTFO. scatter, make them split up. Go contest their flags in other places. Back up to your towers. Hide. &nbs
My tests have found the same. In mist form, Erebus is invulnerable. Not just untargetable. The 10% dodge is added because 30/hpsec regen is not powerful enough to warrant being so far down the skill tree. The current build Im testing/mastering is the Erebus MistMinion Build. Mist being my only power with everything else going into minions. You do require quite a bit of mana items to be in mist permanently, but you really dont need that. If you can mist for a minute which is easily doa
Its silly I know, but the better laid out it is, the better people will feel your guide is. Also, can you explain why you get so many activatable mana intensive abilities instead of using some points on the passive buff (bottom skill on tree, generals have moral, assassins have.......?) Also, be sure to put up your main "kill combo". Ability 1-> Ability 2-> Dance the Maquerehna-> Ability 3. Something to that effect. The more elaborate your explanation t
If they fix the idol exploit, I think they should reduce the cost of idols. Right now, it is always better to upgrade your demigod with items rather then idols.
This is the exact mentality that lead to people playing Generals as assassins. Idols are good, hell they are great, just not at the beginning. Get your minion skills up, some minion equipment THEN buy idols. I usually start buying them mid game when I h
Hey StormCrow, At a quick look the build looks good. All you need to work on is your formatting. Some sort of progression would be nice. Its great to list the items, but try and group them into catagories. What to get at first, what to get (and hence how much gold to have) for your first trip back to town. Lastly, its always great to describe some of your most succesful uses. If you find that at X level with X items you can really harass the crap out of X demigod, you s
Very true, I have seen the same. I just assume anyone poking around here isnt one of those scrubs we find in games who obviously have no clue.
Wait you mean someone could possibly think of using vengeance? Guess I should have specified (NEVER TAKE VENGEANCE). The AoE from Angelic Fury is indeed what I was speaking of. Add in the bottom ability, sniper scope, the snare and mark (or even snipe) during mid game (when your mana outpaces your Angelic Fury) and late game your a beast.
For completely new players absolutely. But there is very little meat to the guide. It covers something that is indeed important but really doesnt help any more then making people aware of the fact that they need to find the "critical mass" point of their char when playing against others. Its something you cant learn from a short guide. It has to either be a very VERY long one, or, and far better, actually playing and finding out what point you need to back off. Again, i
I know Reg. I know. At least hes trying. This post had one piece of useful information. Nice to know the AI has high priority to max flag capture status (I can only assume this is what he said, Ill test it later tonight). And really if you think about it, his second post is infinitely more useful then his first.
Hi Lukkas, Ke5trel already have a thread like this going. It contains the information you mentioned. Perhaps you would like to contribute to his thread as it is already up and going. Cheers, Chaosbrynn
Doesnt contain much strategy. Not over all very useful. If you are new to this type of game, by all means read it. Anyone who is not being continualy killed, or who has played a decent amount will find very little help with this article.
I am going to have to disagree with the other 2 posters. If you do what you said, and focus on your minions, I have found them to be very powerful. I can absolutely rape towers with the army and when you suprise a demigod (teleport into a battle with your army) the very large change in DPS often nets you a kill. I think the problem is that people are playing too many hybrid builds and thinking its a minion build. This leads to people thinking minions are underpowered. But let me tell you, wit
Late game Regulus relies more on the passive abilities then anything else. The AOE from Angelic fury, passive abilities and mark of the betrayer make for a very powerful late game Regulus. In general, it is pretty safe to say that the more passive abilities you take and the less activatable, the more powerful you will be later on (when all the passives stack). As to when and what you should take, well, that is far more complicated.

I dont touch idol's or worry at all about minions. I've tried all sorts of builds and it takes too much gear/skill points to put your minons up to a competitive level. Play him like an assassin and you're golden.
It only takes too much resources to play minions if you also want your General to be
Man, you are such an amazing strategist! I cant believe no one else thought this up! What would we have ever done without you, scrub.
What is your fav minons to buy early? Progression of them please cuz I am curious!
Hi There Seevtastic, It really depends on what General I am playing at the time. For my Vampire Lord I do not buy Idols at the beginning. I find it is generally better wo wait untill your own minions are up and running before buying Idols. But thats just me, also I dont use the resell exploit. The main reason for this is
Hi Paul, Well, I have 2 ideas for you. 1. You are playing against the AI, who sucks. Big time. You mentioned your oponents skill level so I will assume this isnt the case and we will go to point 2. 2. You play a general as a general. Most of the community to date plays generals as assassins. So yes, he is ranked low as basically, people are not using him to his full potential. I applaud you for finding the right way to play him and beseech you to bring t

Hi Folks, Ive thrashed the hard AI's quite a few times with quite a few characters and have since moved on to Nightmare (which, really isnt very difficult either). I used to play a lot of Dota, so the games mechanics came very easily to me. Perhaps I can help a few of you out. The very first thing Id like to say is, if you have to go back to your base to heal at the crystal, you have done something wrong and are one step closer to losing the game. I have yet to play a characht

If everyone is playing generals as assassins, and the generals are the least played as well as have the lowest win %, perhaps it can be deduced that the community as a whole havnt gotten
I have yet to see a guide that does not recommend Heart. Regardless of Demigod. It is definately on the OP side. There should be a mana cost to activate, a longer cool down or some sort of trade off to using it. Heck even an increase in gold (at least 8k) and move it to the artifact list. Maybe having the effect end on movement would be a good idea. Just all around far too powerful. As is, this should be very high on every players priority list. I dont think there are any items that g
