I had the same problem and here's how I solved it: Go to my documents > my games > gas powered games > demigod, open the "game.prefs" with my editor, hit CTRL+F and look for "p rimary_adapter" and change the value to '1024,768,60', that's how I managed to solve the problem.
Just send an email to Stardock, lets see whether this helps or not.

Zur Aktivierung vom Spiel: bei der Eingabe des Keys muss dein Freund evtl deine Emailadresse als Käufer angeben damit es funktioniert. Hatte das selbe Problem weil ein Freund das Spiel für mich bei Amazon geholt hat durfe ich seine Emailadresse angeben. Hat schon seine Viertelstunde gedauert bis ich da mal drauf gekommen bin. Ansonsten ja, funktionieren tut das Spiel bei mir noch immer nicht wegen dem behinderten "Wrong username/password"-bug oder was auch immer das sein mag
Same problem here, hope they fix this soon. It's a great game but being forced to use an application like Impulse brings problems like that which I personally hate. Seriously: who needs Impulse? I just want to play this damn game.
