Wow, that's a difficult decision. Umm... 1.) Team Fortress 2 2.) Killing Floor 3.) Dreamfall Chapters (release this year, please!) I can't really decide if these would be sufficient, though. Well, those are my choices. Custom maps made by the community and future DLC ensure that Killing Floor won't ever get old, I still haven't gotten bored of the Team Fortress 2 map 2fort(and the DLC), and anything related to The Longest Journey is worth quite a bit of i

I should say that I'm 27 on my profile. -.- That stings. I actually have a potential internship planned. Hopefully I won't screw up any coffee runs or filings of important documents then.

Nice. Well, I've never paid over $25 dollars for a single PC game through DD(L4D the most expensive), and I own quite a few. In fact, all 70 of my Steam games cost me 266.09(exactly), and I love all of them except The Ship(>:|). Impulse made me turn that last sentence bold, btw. It won't go normal. XD Oh, and I think L4D will be a big thing for quite a while. Valve supports every game it releases, and they are probably planning some more free DLC for the game. I

Also, I never said I 'want'ed it to be the future. In fact, I treat my game boxes and cartridges/disks very preciously, and DD threatens to take those out of the equation. Don't try to turn what I'm saying into something anything personal, that's incorrect. I like how DD is turning out, but my special wall of game boxes won't be any bigger if the future is the way I expect it to be.

Every single big, modern PC game developer I know of(with the exception of Blizzard; their games have created an invisible Blizzard platform from what I can see, but that's something I'm not going into now). EA has their own download service, and they've also flocked to Steam. :P When did I ever say it would be an overnight thing? It hasn't been. It's been gradually growing for the past 5 or so years. I'm absolutely certain that digital distribution is t

Steam is expanding at a ridiculous rate. They might not get the people who seem against DD, but they are getting everyone else. Also, their profits are ridiculous. You might be surprised at how much is saved through DD. I have no doubt that, if you wanna keep playing the biggest games, you're gonna need to start using DD. That's the future of the industry(or the now; whatev').

Young and naive? Don't make me laugh, you elitist pig. I was saying that religion has no real purpose with that statement. Come back in ten years? Ha! I'm obviously more mature and independent in my beliefs than you. Poor Christian. If you were raised elsewhere you may not be the fanatical Christian you are. However, I am currently living in East Texas, along the BIBLE BELT. I was raised a Baptist, and I didn't question my 'beliefs' or even think about them until around when I turne

Bit of an update: HE'S STILL TRYING TO CYBER ME kinda. It's funny, and we're just 'palling' around, but I seriously think he likes it. EWWWWWWWW

[quote who="Marlowe Lawbringer" comment="11"]Impressed compared to what? You weren't impressed by a PC game released in 1996 compared to modern games and graphics? I'm not a huge FPS fan, but rest assured that Duke Nukem was one impressive game when released in comparison to other games of the period. While the basic gameplay may not have been much better (but no worse) than Doom, the graphics were a huge step forward at the time and the irreverent nature of the game was also unusual when rel

Very interesting, but I wish I knew the background behind this. I'll probably read your blog later. Good job with the grammar and spelling, by the way. Most people don't care.

It looks to me like Microsoft is screwed when it comes to digital distribution. No retail games, crappy service... What's to like? Stardock and Valve are WAYYY ahead of them there!

Quite a few people who just use Impulse don't seem to know about Steam's offline mode. [quote who="TudoBenedicto" comment="1

I saw the gameplay trailer earlier, and I'm VERY impressed. Err, now that I think on it, I'm really not. It was badass and exciting to think about, but after ten years of work they should have completed something that would top Valve's work with HL2, big-time. They said it would be like that, but it obviously won't be. =(

Hopefully everyone will read this before commenting about how you need internet access to play Steam games all the time; Steam has an offline mode feature that allows you to play all of your games offline(if the game has a single-player mode). I've played Left 4 Dead in offline mode a few times, and I don't see why everyone here doesn't understand how that works. Sure, you still need one-time verification, but that doesn't change the fact that offline mode exists. Seriously guys, try

It's just that you say that there is a god instead of just saying that you believe it. I certainly don't believe it. Does that make me miserable? Are my views really inferior to yours? That's elitist and closed-minded. I'm a very, very happy atheist, and I'm disappointed that anyone would believe in some magical god. I've never done anything illegal, never consumed any dangerous or illegal drugs, never had a girlfriend yet(came close, but decided I'll wait

Your blog hurts me. I say that the best 'religion' is Buddhism, but the best religious choice is atheism. Religion is awful, and I'm surprised anyone still follows these terrible control systems. Also, many people believe that Abraham Lincoln was a closeted atheist. =P

[quote who="dmantione" comment="1"]Well, Impulse is Internet Exploiter combined with 7zip turned into a frustratingly slow resource hog thanks to bad-idea-from-start .NET technology. Having said the bad things, there are quite a bit of things to say in favour of it.Impulse's main point is competition. It has good games at low price and has forced Steam to join the competition, like sales events. Then, I think Impulse certainly has a few must-have titles, to n
