Well here's the thing. Yes any time you reply to a blog you get five points. But from there if people vote it insightful you get more, of if they vote it trolling you get some taken away. Same thing with your blog. You could spend 4 hours writing it and making it look pretty, but it's the users who give it the points that matter. So if no one cares what you're talking about you dont get points hehe. After all the purpose of blogging is so other people can read it right?

from what I understand they just moved the Elves part. In the books they dont help at helms deep, but they do help in the battle for Gondor. Just part of a movie adaptation to shift things and make it fit better, and be more understood by the masses. As far as I'm concerned there couldnt be too many tender moments between Frodo and Sam. Hobbits are after all....Hobbits.
that IS the biggest deal you've ever closed :)
If I were me 5 years from now I'd be perfect!
I hope you send her a link to this article. Then she can never complain that you don't tell anyone :)
Thank you very much for this. "Who and what" the wizards were had been bugging me since I watched both extended editions last weekend. It all makes alot more sense now, your explaination was good. I very much want to read all the books now, I've only ever read The Hobbit.
I read what you write! I've actually specifically returned to you blog. Just dont always have something to say. Though I do have one request. Please seperate paragraphs once in a while, it would make your blog alot easier to read. :)
I did, I did!!! If you read my blog about internet dating you'll see. Basically I wrote about an upcomming internet date I had and she managed to find it (innocently,m not in the psycho way) before we even met up. I am also like you in that it's much easier and clearer to scribe my thoughts than speak them. Sometimes when I speak about serious things I either pull punches to save somoene's feelings, or the other exteme...hurt them without intending to. For some reason when I write
She's so cute I want to eat her!!!!
hmmm I'm not sure I understand the purpose of this. What advantage would I have to NOT post every article in the forums? And for that matter, why would I post a new Forum thread when I could just make it a blog article? Don't get me wrong, the interface is VERY nice, but I just dont see all that much difference from clicking on the Channel list.
I should specify...pls don't run this if you arent running XP. I dont want to break anyone.
Did somebody say polished widgets? Good article Messy Buu. One point I totally agree with is that I don't often look at my desktop either. I keep all my windows maximized unless I'm working on something that requires more than one window. This is exactly the reason I'm making Lucy which I log my work on in my blog. I made a special build of it just for you to take a look at. I mostly just set
hahahaha!!!!
Programs like Total Recorder will always get around this because it just intercepts the data sent to the sound card driver and allows you to record it. Right now things like this are fairly obscure, but you can bet if DRM or Reference becomes popular, coupled with cracking down on file sharing, that this type of program will be as popular are Nero or Easy CD Creator.
(and he wasn't even German) LOL!!!!!
There's a trick to alcohol though.... as you said it helps you "come out of your shell". The trick is to learn to carry some of that over to when you're not drinking. As with all drugs, they are useful when they have a long term purpose. If you always rely on alchol to be the thing that gets your out of your shell....then you gain nothing from it except possible addiction.
I thought you werent going to end your messages with any X's :P
Personally I disagree with some of what you say. This isn't supposed to be a message-board, where conversations/arguements go on for ages. A blog should be YOUR expression, not a response to someone else's. Nor do I think that tracking other people's comments would be a good thing. That leads to clique-ism where the same 5 people always wind up discussing things, which sort of artificially increases their user-rating even though they dont help the site as a whole, just bicker betwe
One way I could think of to remedy this would be to have two ratings. Personal Taste, and Technical Quality. This way authoers would get feed back on both how well they did, and how nice the style is...and people who just think something is ugly can give a 1 for personal taste and maybe not be so inclined to give it an ugly rating overall.
Actually the, "External URL:" of a new post is for a link. If you enter a link there it will show up at the bottom of your post. Hope that helps.
Polls? I love to be able to post a poll in a blog entry. Would be a good canidate as a premium feature!
I can offer advice on the following: 2. SONY SONY SONY. Sony digital cameras are great and come with lots of features. I believe there's other options now but at the time i bought my camera over the summer, the sony was the only one that could take extended video clips. This was due to a speed limitation of most memory cards, but the Sony Memory Stick is fast enough to keep up with the video. With my DSC-P8 and a 256 MB Memory stick I can take 20 mintues of 640x480 video, includ
Joe User is however different than other blogs. It has become somewhere in between blogging and message boards. Sort of a natural evolution....to want to blog, but to have a definate audience of not just readers, but other bloggers, and get recognition if people like your writing. To catagorize blogging as something that will live or die is just silly in the first place. BBS's, FIDOnet, forums, message boards, chat rooms, persistant-world games, blogging. These are all spokes of th
It kind of gives me a chuckle whenever I see a christian group do something like close down a porn shop or yelling at people at abortion clinics or whatever. It's in sharp contrast to the way Jesus would have acted.
Just a couple suggestions in the spirit of blogging.... 1. In a case like this it's nice to link right to the user's article that you're referencing. This way they get the extra readers, and they can see in their referrals that you linked to them. 2. The link you included in this article points to your own "New Post" page, rather then your blog. This comes up to a user as if they're posting a new article to your blog. 3. You actually dont need to post a link to yo
