The stats and everything else are being reset eventually, once SD/GPG works out all the kinks with the connectivity and the like.

Wow...this is just plain stupid. All of these things would only make the game more managable and add depth to the gameplay. It seems you're just afraid of noobs getting better at the game and giving you competition. The only thing I agree with even a little bit is the part about seeing enemy items, and even that is debatable. I generally get either the XP or gold upgrade first. The first gold upgrade pays for itself rather quickly(about 5 minutes I think), while the XP upgrade can give you a decent level advantage, especially if you combine it with an XP flag. Usually I get the gold upgrade first for the added money. The building health upgrade is also a good investment, since it's cheap and makes it much harder to destroy your towers since they can heal themselves.

Yes, it does.
Not necessarily, as the effectiveness of HoL varies depending on the DG. Oak and QoT can both shield themselves before using HoL, meaning that they can use HoL without having to worry about being interrupted by damage. I'm not saying HoL is terribly unbalanced, because it isn't imo, but Oak and QoT both have an advantage while
I'm not sure if they're on Cataract, but a +15% health flag would do it with footman's sabatons. There was a similar post about this with a UB that had 3100 health.
As an ooze UB I spend my first 1k gold on the gauntlets of brutality and banded armor, and use the blood of the fallen favor item. I generally tend to skimp out on the citadel upgrades depending on how the game is going, but I'll try and get the first gold and XP upgrades before mid-game if no one else on my team has. AS TB, I find that you should spend your starting money on a helm for mana and some armor/health. You'll need it. The building upgrade isn't as important so early, and y

The stats are being reset anyway so it doesn't really matter that much.
Then you really did miss the point--that since anything can happen in fiction--and everything does, for the sake of a plot point, it's inevitable that every soft sci fi will have something hilariously powerful as a plot point, and that it is always whipped out in a universe v. universe debate to claim supremacy. Halo can whip out its godlike halos, and Star Trek can whip out its godlike photon torpedoes and warp speed. &nb
I'm sorry, I just presumed that half of science fiction was science. Ever guessed where the name science fiction comes from? I'm perfectly capable of being needlessly being a snarky asshole, too.
The science is explained well enough in both. There is no need to overthink it, since it's fiction. We're just having a Star Wars vs Star Trek debate. I don't think we need you to tell us it can't happen in real life. [quote
Sci Fi debates like this are relatively pointless, given most technologies in Halo and Star Trek will never come to be, and all science fiction series, films and games have contrived weaponry that's ridiculously overpowered for the sake of hurrying up a plot in a 30 minutes episode/game mission. Hence why I brought up the photon torpedo--as you can see, it's simply impossibly powerful. An explosion that size would take an incredible amount of ant
I've stayed out of this debate so far, but why does everyone have to bring up the halos like they are the end-all-be-all ultimate weapon or something? This kept happening in the Star Wars vs. Halo thread, too. Yes, they kill all sentient life, but so what? That applies to Covenant as well. You light one up, and everyone is screwed. Only a complete moron would actually use them as a weapon.
That's why the
So other than the chance they've taken a symbol of purity as their favor item, what ways does a UB have to remove spit in a duel with another UB? And since both UB's are using ooze, they won't be generating much hp/s. Remember, I'm arguing a very narrow situation here (late game non-spit ooze UB vs. ooze/spit hybrid UB).
The point about removing spit was targeted more towards the general idea of it being good late game.
I should have mentioned that I'm talking late game. Early game, yes, a hybrid build is usually too stretched to be able to stand up to a focused build. But lategame (even up to level 19 or 20), Spit is much better than most people think, especially in a UBvsUB fight. Even with just two spits, 3500-4000 (don't forget about putrid flow) points of unmitigated damage is enough to swing most fights. T
