Yes, you have to be close by in order to gain experience for what your minions kill. If you're half-way across the map you won't get anything.

Vivid, I'm not going to quote your post, but instead just adress each of your points. 1. Your point is? So he can do something other DG can't. Big whoop. Erebus can bat swarm across gaps between lanes and Oak can come back to life with stat boosts and invulnerbilty. Neither snipe nor his mines are going to do much at mid-game when my UB ooze build has 5k+ health and +30 hps. 2. Neither does UB. Stack weapon damage and spit on anything that comes nearby and you'll be fine.
The few people that are able to play online should first check and read the problems on the technical support forum before posting
You shouldn't base the fact that there are few people that can play the game well on forum posts. Remember that people without major problems and who can play the game fine have no reason to make posts saying so.
What browsers are you 2 using? There was an incident on Thursday because they were doing something with the forum, but I'm using FF and the forums are fine for me most of the time..... EDIT: Read this: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/353780
If you want help you can make a post describing your problems in the Demigod Technical Support section. Or send an email at (I believe that's it). Also, just read around the forum a bit. You might find a post that can help you.
Banned because I'm bored.
should i get the 1.01 patch or wait for the next one? to play online
You should get the patch and try it out. For me matchmaking is kind of hit and miss right now. Most of the time it takes less than 5 minutes to find a match, sometimes it takes almost 10, and sometimes I get an error and have to start over again.
Thats not the point. If i am guarding a flag, walking to a location, or in mid fight, he can shoot me from anywhere and I have lost any chance to beat the opponent I am currently facing or about to face. the only option is to carry health pots everywhere (which is a money sink) because there is a regulus on their team, OR head back to base. By the time I heal and come back, he just shoots me again and I have to rinse and repeat.
Same chances for both teams, and if you lose that means it's your own fault and that you didn't play it the right way.
You actually think that if something is symetrical it's automatically balanced? The DG that has the upperhand can monopolize the single lane and make it impossible to make a comeback. If the enemy has QoT constantly bramble shielding him he never has to leave the lan
The thing about Oak is that he's awesome later in the game if you let him get a good start, but pretty weak early game. Harass him as much as possible and you shouldn't have to worry too much. This goes for any DG really, but Oak especially. As for dying a lot, remember that TB is very squishy and will go down quickly if a melee character like UB or Oak can get in close. Try to keep your distance.
Blood of the Fallen, Banded Armor, and Footman's Sabaton's will probably give UB around 3100 health if he managed to cap a +15% health flag as well. The whole setup would cost 1150 gold and give +1400 health without adding the flag. EDIT: I just did the math, he'd gain a bonus of +1610 health with the above situation for a total of 3160 health. Right around what you said.

I don't need that article to know that EA is evil. I realized that after playing Spore for 15 minutes.
Please , for the love of Demigod, remove this map from the game. Words cannot describe how much I hate it. A tower Rook or anyone with QoT as an ally is practically unstoppable on this map. And I've played against both on this map. At the same time. Twice. At the very least, can someone tell me how to beat this insane combo? Thanks for the help and for listening to my whining.

I don't even care about ragequitting anymore. I never do it if I have a teammate, but if my teammate does it I just sigh, try to win anyways, and then give up and quit so I can find another game where I have a chance of winning instead of being dominated the whole match. The only thing that gets affected are my stats, which I frankly don't care about very much since they're mostly broken anyway.
Well, even with spit I never found post mortem super effective, but it served it's purpose. I meant more along the lines of buying Plague and Post Mortem (I should probably specify that) because plague lets you *not* kill a melee creep after 30 seconds, while post mortem at least gives you a little bit of damage. I use a spit build myself, but after reading this post and others like it I decided to play around with an ooze build in single player. Naturally it felt odd at first, but after awhile I got used to it. I really liked how it had a lot more staying power than my spit build with the +health and health regen, and how I didn't have to run away from an enemy when I was at full health just because I had run out of mana. Of course I was playing the AI and the match was incredibly easy, but I
