Perhaps a mode where you start off 1v1 2v2 etc vs a demigod but they start at level 20, but you remain at level 1. Defensive towers have much more HP and you level up 2x as fast with held portals etc. But thats just an idea for a possible scenario. If pantheon can be loaded automatically, choosing settings/maps/winfocus it wants etc with the only player input being a choice of character, perhaps something within those settings could be looked into

Just got back home. Reading through the forums and things seem pretty bleak for young DG. Gameover?
I tend to indulge in both the banter and the focus playing. It seems to be a trademark of the aussie community though, not too sure about the rest. Don't think i've played many games without someone mentioning, " Was it really worth it?" :) ha i remember an occasion where Mixmagic and some random US player were skulling beers against each other whilst we were playing the magical "Just one more" game. Or getting into heated discussion with an opposition canadian player about wh
Level 3 shield is pretty OP. But it's not like shadow swap "harms" you for any damage to be shielded, does it? :)
The incomprehensible variety of the bugs in Demigod is what keeps me coming back.
Could you put up a list of the prices/effects of the Hp items atm? It would help in figuring out the balances needed for the lesser well known items :)

Do you mean that the enemy loses 250 mana and gets hit for 250 damage? Seems a little OP imo.
But with a mana item that contains no mana regen? Maybe just burns there mana for no damage then.
Btw, your updated version of the Hungarling's Crown is just too OP imho. C
Good idesa. :) I agree that it would probably be easier just to focus on one section at a time. Would the goal be to not have a useless/duplicated item? If so, my suggestions for items. Scaled - Useful as is. Plate Visor - 70% mana regen and 10% chance to siphon 150 mana. No other mana pool. Cost to nearly the same as scaled. Plenor - pretty good. Massive mana boost fits its purpose. Vlemish - Also pretty useful. Theurgist - Seem
If i remember correctly, ranged units actually damage LESS the furtehr away they are. A normal attack, for example, would be upto 17-20% less in damage if at regs max range. Food for thought.
Ha, now that all the flirting is out of the way. Stardock has said it will host elemental on it's own dedicated servers. It has said this is because of AFTER all the connection hassles it had with demigod, it would never try do the same conn setup. If stardock is going to use dedicated servers for elemental though, why not simply entertain the idea or possibility that these servers could somehow be used for demigod? Sure demigods netcode was intentional designed differ
Impulse phase V looks likely to be its groundbreaking update. I'm just trying to spur the community into brainstorming some potential ideas :)
Ideas for 1.3? :P I go travelling overseas in a week from now. Europe/south america. Won't be back till march. What are your predictions for the games future? What will demigod be like be like when/pendingnolossofkidneysindodgybrazilianslums/if i come back? Will there be another update before 3 months is out? :P
After warp area, quite a few times get the "stand still, until you click to move first, before moving" bug that used to be around.
I didn't know you played with the australian demigod community Frogboy?
How about. You pick a charachter. And all the favour points you earn in a match go towards that character. And whichever of the characters accrue a certain amount of favour points (with a much larger favour bonus solely for winning) first wins. And whichever repeatedly don't get enough favour points/wins, can be buffed/altered/fixed. So it uses the skimish matchmaking, but the pantheon-based scoring?
The problem i found is that if there are only 2 enemies around, it will only do two attacks. Whilst this seems intended, if you are trying to dodge a snipe or a fireball or a hammer, then quite a lot of the time one vs one you will still get hit. What if instead, you did the animation, but if here werent enough people around, it would still play out? And what if the first animation did 8 attacks for 250, the second did slightly higher? DA only really starts to shine at
Ai have a set amount of favour points they can use. It was something like achievement favour min = 300 and acheivement favourmax=450. It's only on nightmare they start getting decent favour items.

As it says in the title. I don't know if this is on purpose or not. It was very helpful in figuring out whether a game was AUS/NZ though. 2500 people online. 1.2 must be having some impact.
But considering how useful most of the favour items will be now, to sacrifice something like a blade of the serpent or botf for a "tracking bug" level of sight (which i think is 4 or 5 units) for the rival demigods would be a tactical ploy. Vent teams will never be equal to unorganised pugs, so its not too much use revolving balance around that. I think it would work for frequently ganked demigods, or as a buff to UP regulus. ha It was inspired by your mod, doesn't haveto be a part of
Considering stardock is going to host elemental multiplayer on its OWN DEDICATED SERVERS why couldn't demigod beta them, and benefit from such a thing? edit. in general that is. the tournament and tier ideas are all secondary to the fact that demigod could someday be played 5v5 regularly if dedicated servers were up.
Ha, i'm not sure how big that is. I'm sure you will come upon a good size. Just most of the castable auras are hardly used because of such small radius attributed to them.
As inspired from reading morpheas favour item balance mod , I would like to Mod the bejewelled goggles to allow for vision of all demigods at all times, much like having a permanent regulus tracking bug on the enemies.. There are two ideas that I have in mind to be able to implement this. First and probably easiest, is to figure out where in the .lua there is a classification of an enemy. Altering a barely modified copy of s
:) Also, any chance of increasing the radius of the shared castable aura items? Quite a few one hazto be pretty close to the other demigod for it to work. Thinking the likes of wings of the seraphim etc
