How do yall function without a core group of people in any game? By just...PLAYING. None of my real life friends play this game anymore (all driven away by shoddy connection issues and bad recordkeeping). I was top 20 in 3v3 Random Team in Warcraft 3 back in the day. I just enjoyed playing with random people. There's a much different skillset needed than the people who top the arranged t
This is so...I don't know what to say.
Seriously? Where has everyone been? How do yall function without a core group of people in any game? Do you go through life completely alone? Communities have been established since the dawn of gaming. The next thing I know were going to start calling brothers hackers for putting their PC's next to eachother. Where do yall draw the line?
The reason that many games have standard VoIP is because they are launched with standard MP features that allow appropriate matchmaking. That means that premades are playing premades and PUGs are playing PUGs. And there are plentiful mechanisms for setting up those two situations. Right now, DG is in a state where you do not have the machanisms for appropriate matchmaking. That means that we as the players have

I don't really care about my win rate, so much as to just get a game going. It already can take up to 10 minutes to start a game, adding any length to that is just so unessicary.
We'll hopefully they'll fix that soon. Maybe you should be complaining to stardock instead.
Premades already have a substantial advantage over PUGs. They shouldnt use another huge advantage.
Why are these people not using auto-team matchups? That's the real question here. We can use whatever voicecom we want, becuase the option is available to you as well. Talking has never, and will never be considered an unfair advantage. You are not prohibited to use it. When I come home from work, I get on vent to just talk, what game we are going to play has nothin
Premades don't join games, they make them.
I see premades join my games all the time, and sometimes we join others. It's easier to host, but that doesn't make it true.
Again, what is the harm in telling them? If you do, they can't bitch at you about it. But then they might leave instead, so no easy win.
Why are these people playing custom games when they're given the choice to join all random matchup games? Why do I n
Heh, it's not about feelings or what not, it's about constructive criticism. Getting all up in arms just cuz you hear "premade" does not help make the thread or game any better. Why argue for the sake of argument when we're all trying to make the community better?
Argueing I find exposes the reason's for issues that exist today. It often fascinates me, it's just who I am. I wasn't all up in arms trust me.<
And witholding that information prevents people from making an informed decision - but that's what you wanted, right?
You're whole arguement is moot, becuase the host also has no idea if the other side is a premade. When people ask, I tell them, thats it.
Quoting WickedBear, reply 1 I said the 95% was not a true reflection, it was in SUPPORT of the OP's overall claim. The only point that post was making was that I believe you could have a high % without a team. You CAN, but doesn't mean that on average it's true. I'm willing to bet the OP was speaking in general terms. "Refuting" a generally made point by pointing out anecdotal irregul
I'm all for premades (obviously since half my games are premades). People should be able to play with friends. But have you tried playing against a premade as a PUG player? Based on your game stats, you haven't. So you have no idea what a pain in the ass it is to play a PUG with crappy teammates against a premade. This isn't some game where you can carry a bad player.
You can also see that we always carry a public player
So you always give the enemy team advice? Bravo to that Regulus but most people feel like joining a game where they have a chance to win, not lose several times.
I give advice to anyone who asks for it. I don't claim it's the best advice, just from my expereinces which seem to work for me. People may want to join a game where their chance of survival is near 90%, but lets face it, thats not how you get better at this game. Facing premades should be a good thing, as you
This is nonsense. Playing with your friends allows you to learn how they play and their tendencies. They will do things without you having to tell them to and you will also know what they are doing without having to ask them. And they'll also ALWAYS listen to you where a random player might not.
If you think friends will ALWAYS listen to you, and not feel insulted when you tell t
I've never denied the fact we are a "premade" and yes, I still get complaints. Actually, we had so many people on DOTA that we could often do 5v5 of just us. So by that logic of more concentrated advantage through premade, I should have won more. Since most of my friends have old computers that can't run anything past wc3, it is currently only 4 of us. Two of us which really really play. To be honest, I carried alot of my team through the DOTA days, having them on my side was more oft
Woca, stop being a moron. This post was made before my response there. Again your failure to use basic logic and reading comprehension is astronomical.
Lol I don't feel like a cheat at all. My point is simply this, most "PuG"'s if we want to call them that, are capable of the same communication. Yes the odd's MAY be against them co-operating, but that is marginal. It is all in how you talk to people. I have one friend I play with, who goes OUT OF HIS WAY to communicate to people not on our vent server. I tell him its futile, and you can't teach an idiot whos unwilling to learn anything, and he OFTEN proves me wrong. last night we pla

We have random players on our team over 50% of the game, so what is your point? How do you account for that rogue element? We win because we play smarter and communicate . You lose because you don't even attempt teamplay. This is a TEAM game, not a SOLO game. You never considered the fact maybe I'm just BETTER than you? Is that not a possibility? Lol, depends on your professor Aviyur ;). I've had a calculus professor that gave no partial credit at all. You either got it or not. But my point is this, hes a professional representative of his company. If I went to work and made no results, but REALLY TRIED HARD! I doubt they would keep me long.
See my post about premades, not a very good post overall. Pretty much just wahhhhhhhhh I have a low record heres an excuse because everyone else has friends. Yes, stats are meaningless, but it's not because of premades, its because of glitches and bugs. Yes I have a 95% win record, so I can say that.
