The man brought countless dissapointment to thousands of fans and he's worthy of praise? You can look at the beta discussions and see that countless bugs from the beta made it into release unaddressed with little concern. He messed up and hes paying for it. You don't deserve praise until you at least fix the broken game, AND +1 somehow? Effort is never rewarded in this world, even if it is earnest. I'd like to be wrong about him, but he is at least taking Demigod in the right direction now, e

better? [e digicons]O:)[/e] It just gets annoying after awhile.
I host every game I play for the simple fact that, I play games with people I know . When did gaming communities forget that people out there have friends, and it shouldn't be expected that every person in a game is random? Gaming communities are built on establishing relationships with people, no
All-random mode would be sweet. Wickedbear I don't know why you're throwing a hissy fit about this. No ones forcing you to play all-random games. Why would you force us to not have the option to go all-random?
The option exist by everyone choosing random. As far as your other questions, please learn to read the last 12 posts.
It's one of the main reasons, I'd say. Back in the day ar was extremely popular. Modes with some form of random make up a significant amount of the played games.
I played DOTA in its INFANCY, before TFT was even released. AR attributed nothing to dota's popularity. The fact that the game mode gained popularity is NOT the reason for DOTA's success. Correlation != Causation.
Oh the hypocrisy. Just because YOU don't get why people love rand
For the love of.. that is NOT why dota is popular. How do you come up with such a claim?!
Why? If you don't want to play an ar game, don't join one.
I've stated this earlier. I can't stand the stupid ill founded elitism it propagates.
Who says you have to.
We're argueing about an all random game, and I was adding a counter point, and you just drove off the tracks. If the point is to hide what demigod you're going to be so they can't pick a counter, is moot. You can do that whether its an all random game or not, if the ran
Again, just to clarify: I'm not against a random option hero choice. I'm against all random forced randoming modes.
1. Randomness - the enemy doesn't know what Demigod you are before the match, they can't pick a counter.
Ok, that adds to your gameplay value not mine. Why do I need to random in this scenario if I don't feel like it?
2. Variety - you don't know what Demigod you're going to be. If everyone else is random too, this guarantees interesting match ups.
This assumes that interesting matchups couldn't happen if you just randomed. The other
So the shouts of cowards of randoming a certain way is already starting? Exactly the reason why I don't want this in demigod. It promotes ill mannered rooms of trivial things that don't even make logical sense. What is the purpose of an all random game? I have yet to figure this out. I don't see the value added by everyone randoming, as opposed to those who just want to type -random at the start. The DOTA(RoC) community in the 7 years I played, not once was this ever even suggested despite th
Id really like to observe, (omg i know that would blow the net code to oblivion), so i think a great alternative would be "replays" like in WC3. Anyone else see a great desire for this?
Honestly his range is pathetic with spit. I can't think of another ranged skill that has a smaller range than spit. Even a pro regulus can hit and run UB without ever getting spit on. (I've seen it done, talk about FRUSTRATING).
Honestly Shock, while I disagree with alot of decisions Frogboy's company has made, I would enjoy this 20$ coupon to get another copy for a friend that I know will love this game. I plan to be playing this game for awhile, and would enjoy my week off next week before I start my new job with my friends. It's your decision when you choose to use the coupon, as long as it doesn't expire before these issues are even fixed...
The tips only confirm my suspcions about you Chaosnaska. I don't think you should be giving tips to anyone.
Sorry, I meant mist? Whatever the turning into bats is that drains mana and does damage. But blink is almost near instant. Most stuns have a longer cast time than his actual batswarm blink.
Im still confused why heros drop potions to begin with? It drives me crazy understanding the current concept. How does me killing somone give me the right to full health to an escape? Is it supposed to drive fast gameplay? Normally it just results in both teams dashing to the potion and somone escaping who shouldn't have because of it. I currently wish no one dropped potions.. just my opinion. Not WHINING for a change or anything.. I just don't get it.
All random is a terrible idea that spread throughout the WC3 community that adds apsolutely no value to the game at all. I can see the stupid game titles now, and random unfounded shouts of "noob" because somone doesn't feel like randoming that day. All this change would do is encourage this type of ridiculous behavior I wish to NOT have repeated from WC3. Allowing a single player to random is fine though, sometimes i just cant decide. [e digicons][/e]
Thats the point im trying to make though, its TOO easy for him to get away with these kinds of tactics. Even if somone does throw a screw in your perfectly laid plan, you can effectievly escape using blink if they dont stun fast enough, or batswarm till you call in your teamates to the rescue.
If it wasn't ranged though he would be incredibly underpowered. Getting close to enemy heros or teamplay is a deathsentence against somone expereinced. Without spit, he would have an extremly hard time holding flags early game. Although I agree it doesn't fit, he would require buffing elsewhere if that was the case.
When you see what youre capable of you'll be more ballsy ;) Honestly it's rare that I die chasing somone through a tower or two. I ussualy die to flat out great teamwork by opposing teams than anything else. That's the hard stuff to predict.
Towers are usually arranged in pairs, so are you talking 3 independant towers, or three tiers of towers? Second, I was joking about the club thing. I wasn't even complaining. I was talking to Proto who was complaining about Erebus players who spam bite, when they don't really have anything else worth spamming. I've never seen or heard of an Erebus who was actually successful doing nothing but bite. Auto attacking is pretty
LOL UB is the most OP and nobodie can argue that and prove me wrong. skills speak for themselves, even if u suck as him hes still way more op then 900 bite. maybe if the cd was raised so that it wasnt as spamable that would of been a bit more accepted.
Right... UB is way more difficult to play and know your limits than ereb... im.. not gonna argue with you though.. I feel like theres more productive people on here to
I don't know what to tell ya.. I have no problems killing a hero past 3 towers as erebus. If you carry a pot on you, you're good to go as long as you got mana. Why club? Because you're faster than your target hero, save blink for escape. Minions can't keep up, thats their true problem. Spam bite and club, and you can easily kill a hero from half health with erebus if he doesn't have backup. Towers have never made me... "fear" killing somone as an erebus, which brings me to the whole poi
Quoting Protocept00, reply 16Try out a different Demigod, jesus christ. Erebus was overpowered, and the new nerf doesn't even do that much to be honest. You can still batswarm in and out and fuck shit up. Just can't be spamming bite anymore. What should I spam now then? MIST?
You could try biting still? And hitting them with your club after the armor reduction because it still does damn good damage? Th
