Click on "My Account" on this forum page. Then on the "login" tab. You'll be able to change your nick there. Note that this change will also affect the account you use to log in to Impulse within Demigod itself.
Sydeamon, No, you're right, of course the variables are different, I know that and I'm sure there are plenty of other complexities that I'm not aware of. Look, it's not my intention to beat down the dev team any more than they are feeling already. My comments are aimed at management, not the devs. I just think that when you have this much trouble with a product, it doesn't make a lot of sense to post messages to your customers telling t

Battle.net has a friend's list. I'm not sure if it was around during Starcraft, but it got steadily improved upon over the years. You could PM your friends within a game, see who's online, get notified when friends come online/enter game/leave game/etc. Yes, Impulse can definitely use a lot of improvement on the community aspect and Stardock knows this. Frogboy did mention that stuff is being planeed.

The art style of the trailer is reminds me of the CGI animated Clone Wars of Star Wars. I hope that's not an indication of the look and feel of the game as I'm not entirely sure I dig that yet.
Yeah, I knew the post would draw some heat, I'll live. As for the software management angle, I've never had to make my team work overtime to fix a problem like this. What usually happens is that team itself feels sufficiently committed to fixing the problem that they themselves volunteer to do what's necessary to get it working. Someone from Stardock posted in this thread that they've been working 14 hour days and that just signals a r

If you're saying this, you've definitely haven't played Demigod enough. Not your fault here thou

It's reasonable to believe that given time, as long as support continues, things will work out. and when do you say enough is enough. its going on 7 weeks now and i still spend 3

Not just movies, I find it rather disturbing that toys meant for kids themselves are already symbols representing violence. We have toy guns (a lot of them looking like the real thing), toy tanks/fighter planes/warships and also toy soldiers complete with packaging art to create the notion of war being manly and cool. Another thing I have issues with, is how animals are being misrepresented in children's stories. Predatory animals are always being depicted as evil, thus causing childr

I love how all these announcement voice overs are consistently biblical in nature. Definitely flows very well with the (poly)theistic feel of Demigod's premise.

The World Editor is possible because the maps were using a tile based system. Demigod's maps are full 3D meshes. If a map maker were to exist for public use, I'd imagine it supporting a model format that is exportable from the common 3D software (Blender, 3Dsmax, Maya, Softimage, etc). The map maker would then allow for the placement of flags, Citadels and the like, as well as AI markers of some sort.

I'm having a tough time trying to complete the Nightmare level tournament with Queen of Thorns at the moment. I can still barely handle Conquest and Slaughter, but Fortress and Domination is nearly impossible to win for me. The AI Demigods will eventually always be near 6 levels above me and completely push us back, destroying everything. What were your strategies?

On the other hand, Erebus has the ability to convert fallen creeps into nightwalkers right off the bat at no mana cost. I'd say he has it easier in that respect. Extra points into his conversion aura simply ups the chances of conversion.
Ya, with Stardock, we get great, detailed updates almost every day, but, unless I've missed something, I never see anything from GPG; and since they are "in charge" of lots of things Stardock has little say over in Demigod, it's a bit troubling. . .
They do post on the forums every now and then, when necessary.
Another question - how does Erebus' conversion ability work (to create nighwalker minions) ? (1) Does the conversion ability only work on enemy creeps which are killed (or can nightwalker be created from friendly creeps killed by the enemies also) ? (2) Does the conversion ability work only when Erebus is in the vincinity ? For example, if Erebus already has some nightwalker minions. Erebus sends the minions to lane 2, wh

You might wish to try to hold back on the Singlish since this is a public forum. [e digicons]o_O[/e] So far, those of my Demigod buddies who are using Starhub don't have much problems with connectivity, but those from Singnet has them. CitizenKane2 actually contacted them about it before, I wasn't sure if he ever posted their response though. Btw, CitizenKane2, I tried searching around and didn't manage to find the answers you seek. I think the best way to know might b

No apologies needed. You approached the issue with a calm and open mind. Multiplayer is what Demigod is all about, so it's expected that frustrations will arise when what it's about doesn't work. The important thing is that instead of abusing the annonymity of the internet to throw an e-tandrum, you stated your problem clearly and called attention to your concerns in a civilised manner. Here's to hoping that the issue gets fixed soon, then those concerned with not b

The networking issues of Demigod has been the hot topic of discussion on the forums and the top priority of the devs to fix since its release. If you read the Demigod Journals subforum, you'll notice that the devs are throwing everything they have, including the kitchen sink, at it. Give it time, it will be resolved. That said, welcome to the forums! That's a civil and well constructed rant indeed!
