well maybe the Drengin were always predators, and never omnivores. Maybe even came from a carnivore not a primate. There society always practiced canibalism. They never abolished slavery. Never invented industrialization. They actually only find warfare beneficial, and never wrong. Maybe having a paralell where Germany wins world war 2, or the Mongolians take over the world. The confederates win the civil war. The British wins the revolutionary war, or after the revolutionary war Washington b

As a picture the Ferangi was one of my custom races before that would be the Zandar ambassador. For awhile I used the minor race tech tree, and later used the torian or Krynn tech tree. Usually super adapter sometimes super hive. My abilities are morale, economics, creativity, research and then population growth. Probably populists, but depending on what they did to the morale maybe the big party will be federalists this time around. I'm usually a maximizer
I hope not I may not have the internet after may. Last I heard this game will not require you to be online oou can nly to have steam, and be online to download it after that you can play the game normally. To take advantage of its more advanced Ai features after it comes out you might want to be online, or play multiplayer when the game actually comes out.
I was inspired when someone was talking about a two month old post, so I decided to find the oldest post since someone responded on this site.
Thalt would be fine as long as its fixed before the game came out. What I would like to see is space creatures, or at least it could be added to a mod. This I think is a viable option for the game.
Well I would like to see space pirates, or the equivalent. I also like the idea for space creatures. Basically I wanted to revive an old post.
I remember on Galactic civilizations 2 forums that I answered a two year old new be question. I think that is a little more impressive.
Let me be clear when I mention civics I'm talking about how they did it in civilization 4. One of the tech researches that was affected by one of the Ithink 5 rows was governments. That is where I have seen civics done in game play of this type, and to my opinion it was one of the better upgrades from civilization 3 to 4. You notice I didn't say the best I thought that was the addition of great people. I did think civics was at least important as giving abilities when you level up.</p
Hey NitrosX infinity are you still there, or did you decide to cancel your preorder! Editing the size of the map should make for some good mods. I would also like to know can we change the number of factions allowed on the game I would like to see something like 32 or op more major factions on the game playable or not. Non playable opponents would probably be great for mods. Also one other thing I would like to see added to modability is multiple leaders with different abilities for d
The video louooks great!!! You guys know that the asteroid belt has about the mass of 1/4 that of mercury not even a small planet in a circle of about 2 or more Au. The asteroids are a few million kilometers apart. Maybe in a young solar system where the gas giant unstable orbit has about 2-10 trillion comets things would be different but in our solar system the spaceships would have to be really big to be slowed down by asteroids. Well my first question have they decided to f
Haha wow I'm not that obsessed with the game!!!
Game stores need to switch to a model of selling more digital downloads. Maybe have a card that you can later trade in for money rather than a disc. That card then gets scanned and the product deactivated (but not deleted so you can buy one cheaper later on) from your account.
Not to bad of an idea if I could do that at the store, or make a copy on a cd to install in my game. Not all of us always has the internet. Something I might
If it doesn't change please let me know the name of the mod I would appreciate that. That way I would be more likely to play a non antagonistic race.
Quoting admiralWillyWilber, reply 14 Well if we are ranting I hope that they will fix the idealogies where there is not one that is overpowering, and lets not forget about mines. How can they "fix ideologies" when they're not even out yet? How do you know they're broken? And yes, lets completely and totally forget about mines.
Well having played Galactic civilizations 2 there was one underlying
You are forgetting that you could test out of the class before the Alpha comes out. If you are that smart!!!
I don't think all the ideas on the list are good, but I do understand that you are doing no more than making a list for the developers to easily refer to.
Well about drinking it doesn't work when you are having a good time. When you are trying to enjoy the moment the trick is to numb the moment so you can't savor it as much that is what drinking is like when you are having a good time. I think it is better to enjoy the moment than to take a tranquilizer A.K.A. alcohol when you trying to have a good time. So I agree why drink so you can't enjoy, or remember the moment. On a side note I noticed the ultra popular in school didn't d

Well for the most part I don't question the character of the game. I definatly think this is more color full than civilization. If there were an option to shut this off I would probably would pick both options. If I have to pick one I like color. What I would like to see when we get updates to the game. A text rewrite would be nice, but not because the text is a problem, but it would be nice to have a change of dialogue sometimes. I like colorful dialogue. Here's an idea how a
I like Alternative, Grunge. heavy metal, Classic rock, Blues, Jazz, Thrash, and speed metal do I get karma. Besides mods I would like to see a menu driven editor that does the same thing. These could be scenarios.
I think System mechanic is constantly checking for that, but if there is a problem I'll make sure to check for that.
To bad there's no hot seat. I would like to join a game where there are an unlimited number of players on the game where people can join. Two things I've come up with. 1. It would have to expand a number of star systems that would increase when some one joins. 2. The galactic council could be redesigned where there could be multiple galactic councils. You could leave and join them at will. 3. This would probably have to exists as an option where the parts of th
I like any in game mechanic besides global and local colony selection for all the colony control. I like the idea to select a group of colonies with a mouse. I would also like to be able to set my economy based of class range of planets the best way for this if I could set the class range. I also would like to set for types of planets since depending on research certain types of planets may need to done different than Terran. I'm not going to recap my smart Ques idea, but I also w
I thought it was nice to have some more ideas on idealologies.
This is like having your cake and eating it to! As far as empire, and individual colony management.
