Limiting 1 per team is a good idea. It's much easier to balance combinations of Demigods if you're not able to stack a single powerful ability x3 or x5. It also makes games more interesting when you're fighting multiple opponents, rather than being demolished by triple oak or triple rook.
Such as...? I've seen a use for most, if not all, of the items in the game, even if it's not a use I'm going to use. They're providing for experimentation and differing playstyles... not a bad thing.
Every helm with the exception of Vlemish Faceguard is poorly itemized. All boots with the exception of journey treads, boots of speed and unbreakable boots are very weak. Most of the gloves are weak,
Being a longtime DOTA player I was eagerly awaiting the release of Demigod. However, I'm disappointed in the lack of depth this game provides and the array of features that it failed to glean from the DOTA experience. Creeping/Micro: This game lacks any micro-based creeping. The fantastic mini-game of last hitting and creep denial of DOTA make for a much m
Can we please nerf Oak already? He's jokingly overpowered for a General. I don't even see people play him as a general, as he's the strongest 1v* hero killer in the game right now. He deals entirely too much damage and is far too resilient. Early game he can hold points with invuln/penitence and his damage output mid-game is just silly. No other General even comes close to how powerful Oak is without minions. The only comparison was pre-nerf Erebus.
Wait until there's a patch to group matchmake for Pantheon/Skirmish. Queueing solo is pretty lame in a MP game.
I've been attempting to find Custom games all evening, but the list seems to be at an all-time low. Are people using other matchmaking services to play, or have people simply given up on Custom games?
Try unchecking again, restart Impulse, then instead of redownloading the whole game, right click Demigod via impulse and click "verify install"
This absolutely works, even with the proper settings unchecked the re-install gave me the beta version, but verifying the installation and then updating fixed the issue. Thanks.
I've reinstalled twice now, once with the pre-release versions unchecked and once with it checked, both times I've received the same beta version.
There were no players in the Multiplayer 'beta' version of Demigod, so I uninstalled and reinstalled through Impulse last night in order to actually get to play the MP. The version of my game defaulted to installing the beta and there doesn't seem to be any way around that now. Please let me know if there's a way to get out of this beta version so I can actually play.
Fractallion's build seems very dependant on your enemies not pushing or creep denying your UB early game. I've found a steady stream of lesser upgrades to be much more beneficial than saving up for larger purchases, especially with the somewhat fragile early-game UB. Only one rank of Spit is absolutely viable, but only if you make heavy use of it early game for harassment to psuh an advantage. If you're unable to score early hero kills with the above build then you'll likely
Indeed. Looks like the update hasn't made it to the login servers. Hopefully the login issue is related to allowing us to easily change login names.
As of this current version the client will hang when I click Multiplayer > Internet on the initial Menu screen. I have to manually kill the Demigod proccess when this occurs.
Something that may help your Tower Rook game which hasn't already been pointed out is Citadel Upgrades. When you're playing a build that isn't very dependant on personal items Citadel upgrades are the best place to funnel your cash. Tower farms are much more effective when supported by Priets and Angels as early as possible. Use your terrain and creeping advantage to boost your Warscore early and out-upgra
