Unfortunately, that wont work because regular DPS is largely irrelevant to cap ship function. The game is designed so that caps have less DPS per supply than frigates. A really fast cool-down time for its abilities would be useful though.
Well the point of my suggestion is to buff the DPS of Rankulas to the point, where its not cost-ineffective DPS-wise compared to bunch of frigates. I realize this is not how

Its actually 4 chokepoints/border worlds. Kinda bad, since i only have 5 planets.... i need to remind myself never ever play this map again this way. I am 3,5 hours into the game and still there, although i reloaded the game about 3 times already, when i lost important battle, which would probably lead to my defeat. Managed to take from them important oceanic planet, which i lost to them before - but only thanks to the REPOSSESION ability of Coronata - otherwise it would be a no
So i gave myself a challenge, 2 Hard AIs in one team against me. I have beaten them before, but never in pure 1vs2 scenario, it was either FFA or i played with compstomps with my buddies - last time i actually singlehandedly killed 2 AIs, while both of them were dealing with the third AI... This time however, i am struggling big-time and the levels of frustration are pretty high. I am about 2 hours into the game, me as ALs, them being TRs and VRs. I own one ice planet, 2 moons, one ro

Although looks are important, that was not the selling point of this case. For me it was the unique features... hot swappable drives; lockable case; a carry handle.... features not present in Antec or FD cases I've seen. If Rankulas was about to be buffed, why not increase his regular weapon DPS instead of touching his abilities? Its the largest capship in the vasari fleet by some margin. Personally i would love to see him turned into "Lucifer" like superdestroyer of Vasari fleet (since Vasari ships in their red and black combo sort of remind me of Shivans) and i would not even mind possible price increase to get there. All the capships in Sins are universally important cause of their abilities, so why not ma

In windows 7, BSODs aren't even supposed to happen and if they do it shouldn't be anything but hardware. Still I've ran other stress tests on the CPU while overclocked for 12 hours at a time without any problems, and I daily play other games (Natural selection 2, Planetside 2, Endless Space, Battlefield 4 and so on). Then there's the early super weapon spam...best case scenario, you only sink resources into spamming SBs on all your worlds with aux go

OK, i gave it a spin last night and its very nice indeed, although HW demanding. My system is Core i7 980x @ 3,78 GHz, 24 GBs of RAM, geforce gtx590, win 7. Installed on SSD. Since Nvidia GPU, no Mantle, just D3D. Few random thoughts> i tried the RTS only with high difficulty (not extreme) and the FPS plummeted on occasion (zooming out, rotating camera) to 0-10 range.... i take this is down to GPU not being fast enough (played it with just one GPU, not both, equal in perfor

But I just don't see it benefitting "traditional" RTS's that much. At least not by just adding MOAR UNITS. Sure, you have the technical capability to deal with more units. Since Chris Taylor is now growing potatoes, I doubt we'll see Supreme Commander 3 in cooperation with Stardock (no need to tell me Wargaming made wargames first), but it could be quite interesting to see evolution of RTS genre, maybe finally they will be able to make a step than splits tact

I would expect Nvidia to come with their own alternative to Mantle anytime soon. Coming with a promising and interesting new tech and not allowing it to other parties, thus preventing its widespread adaptation and ultimately causing it to fail, is a classic behavior from Nvidia´s book. As CliverBug said, it would not surprise me one bit, if they were given a chance to support Mantle, but chose not to do so, promoting their own proprietary solution instead.
