Lets see (looks at steam playtime...) Sots 2 a crap ton... 1500hrs+ total to date. (hmm I like 4x sci fi alot ya think)
Anyway, my fav games in 2013 were still Sins Rebellion (despite coming out in 2012) and i guess NHL 2014 on PS3. I basically bought PS3 just to be able to play that game and

Seriously, does anyone have a clue? The media over here were not reporting about it recently, or maybe i was just not paying attention, its almost 2 years since the quake after all....anyway i was under impression it is sort of a "solved" issue, i mean all the dangerous stuff removed, etc... until i read recently quite an alarming article, how in fact it is not? And a massive catastrophe can still happen there, many times more serious than Chernobyl, with actual global consequences? I

Thanks for advice, but i actually have smaller hands i believe - for a guy. Anyway, DeathAdder is under serious consideration, i am sure i would like it, and Mamba even more - if only it wasnt so terribly expensive... but if possible, i would still like to get another Lachesis, as i kinda got used to its feel and button layout - i have simpy irrational love for it.

Looks fairly good. Mazer sounds like Razer. coincidence? [e digicons]:D[/e] Speaking of Razer, my Lachesis is on its last legs, doubleclicking or not clicking at all like crazy. I would love to buy a new one, but its EOL! Why would they do something like that? I like their products, i am even willing to buy it again, despite the fact it broke after 3 years of use, which would not happen with 3x cheaper mouse, but i cant, cause they are not selling it anymore? Stupid, stupid Razer.</p

Cause I can't help but drool a little over the potential this offers. // Yes. It's very moddable. It would be interesting to see someone put together the Revenge of the Sith opening battle with it.
How about StarClad putting t
Does Star Wars Empire at War and its follow up rings any bell to you. It rocks.
No, it does not, really. Certainly not its planet-side warfare part, it was generic and boring as hell. No match for actual ground combat RTS games like for example CnC Generals. Anyway, comparing Sins to EaW is apples to oranges, since SoaSE is multiplayer oriented game, where all the battles happen at the

I have StarDrive, but havent played it that much, since i prefer Rebellion. It does not mean its bad, though, actually there are certain aspects, which are pretty cool, and i wish they were transferable to game like Sins... Aside StarDrive the only 4X space games i ever played are Ascendancy and Pax Imperia 2, so its kinda hard to compare for me. I think both of those games were basically real-time, while you could make time run faster/slower or pause it completely, and StarDrive is t

Speaking of VL titan, when you are already modding its looks: could you make its diffuse color texture blackish instead of greenish, like the rest of the Vasari capital ships and like it looked on this concept art here: <img src="data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/2wCEAAkGBhISEBUUExQWExIWFhcVFxUUGBsUGBcZFxYWFRgXFhUXHyYfGRkjGxgYIC8gIycpLCwsFR4xNTAqNSYrLCkBCQoKDgwOGg8PGiwkHSQvLCwsLCkpKiwsLC8sKSwsKSksKSwsLCwpKSwpLCwsKSwpLCwpLCksLCksLCwpLCwsLP/

Very nice design, looks cool and if i had money to burn, why not... Otherwise, from what i have seen, the hardware inside is not so glorious....only 12GBs of RAM and 2 mid-tier FirePro cards... for that kind of money its terrible value IMHO. I guees, maybe if you use apps, which could use those FirePros to some OpenCL GPGPU computing, than its acceptable, but otherwise. I would take classic win7 machine with dual Titans and more RAM over it anyday, and i bet it would not be really mor
Quoting mikefacciola, reply 15Is this a 1v1 rush issue or 7 players against 1 AI, because when I play 2 players vs 6 AIs on unfair or above the AI gives a very good fight. Are they using cheat codes to advance quicker to victory or little itty bitty maps? The issue is not that unfair is too difficult...the issue is that for a developing player, the jump between hard and unfair is too large...map size and number of humans v
The jump between hard and normal may or may not be too severe (before 1.82), honestly I have no clue... What I do know is that the jump between hard and unfair is really bad, and by nerfing hard, that jump is going to be outrageous...if hard needs to be nerfed then so be it, but then unfair also needs to be nerfed...
As per Yarlens post above, i understand it all the difficulties were toned down. I mean, the Hard

And what is the resource bonus now? I noticed already last weekend the hard AI was somewhat weaker than before - did not have 2x as many ships than me in the beginning of the game, which used to be pretty much a norm and fairly challenging...and this continued further into the match, i literally swept through his planets and he had almost nothing there. So i checked the numbers at the end of the game and its bonus from planets seemed to be 175 percent (to my base 100) - IIRC i

My select few wishes regarding content generally and factions specifically in Sins 2> first of all, i would not mind the current six factions from Rebellion to remain. OFC i would expect them to be further improved and their differences to be made even more profound via adding more cool new technologies, making their ships more unique (if only visually), etc... Bottom line, aside few notable exceptions, which could perhaps use overhaul/major improvement, like diplomacy, min

@Seleuceia> interesting. So as you say, you tend to go for factions, who generally concentrate on research, culture and religion. And the faction color is pretty important to you too - i can certainly understand that, since the aesthetics are very important factor to me as well. Occasionally, the most important. I wonder though, cant you change the color of the faction in those games to your fav one? Or you just like to stick with the default ones to keep the immersion? And finally

So something nerfed to the point of being irrelevant, thats what you called viable strategy? LOL... Not that i believe, that current implementation is bad. All these things are still OK for my needs, thus single-player experience. If the multiplayer community feels the same from their own perspective, then i guess we have found the happy medium, which should not probably touched anymore. Perhaps there is no way to balance these things in a manner, when they are not horribly OP, nor ba
