In most those other RTSes mentioned people shout GG when their first units get killed, or a first expansion gets harrashed long enough.... Hell ive seen pro starcraft matches end in a few minutes because a guy lost a couple of drones. At those lvles of play its nearly impossible to catch up again. Its not really a RAGE quit ...
Can anyone clarrify if the proxy was ever ment to help people who have unexplained ping spikes of up to 1K+ ? Or was it just put in for people who couldnt connect atall ?? And if its the latter, is there anything being done (be it a fix or still investigation) about the ping spikes ?

Thing is, if its generally overpowered in 1V1, making more of that would get you a "team" of overpowered 1V1 units/gods While a team of different heros with complimenting abilitys isnt something to ignore, if a character is truelly overpowered it wouldnt really matter. Spit is a nice tool for tower pushing... sure.. But it just means you'll have another focus. You could be just "that" much better at killing a DG, and i personally find that more interesting. It gives decent xp and a ton of cash, as well as a few seconds without him in play. Just be happy you have the option to choose =p If spit really was that must have skill, it would shrink down the rest of the options already

I played some 1v1 with a friend without lag... its the 3v3+ that kills me. It cant really be my upload tho. i have the same provider as a friend of mine and he has no issues ;/
Soooo have they found the cause of the 1K+ pings? i tested before and after getting these pings in several programs and games. in those instances my ping was between 30 and 45 and in DM i got a nice 1200 ping going. It would be quite a big "error " if the game actually needed that much bandwidth... I can name a number of games that would logicly need more then DG, yet i have 0 issues. If all of this is however the case ( and im starting to think it is) It explains why i have issues with anything over 3 players.. as the upload just cant keep up. im running at a .86 Mb/s according to speedtest, but this simply makes to much sense to not be the case
I did notice 2 times in a row having a list of atleast 5+ players connecting and found i often only got 1 player to play against once the loading was over. Last match was even more fun... as one player left the moment it started, he didnt get taken over by AI (he was just gone) so we were 2V3

This really sucks.... I just played a 3V3 without any lag so i thought my problems were over.... so i start up a new game and BAM ... Back at a constant fluctuation of 300-2000 ping. It seems so random.. i really hope they can find the problem here.. The game that went ok before sorta proves its not all me. Im not downloading or doing anything, but still one game works fine and the next lags like crazy
I got problems yeah I can connect to games (most of the time) But my ping will be bumping back n forth from 300 up to a 1000 This problem has occured on nomourus occasions.. Sometimes when people leave because of me (sigh) and im left with only 1 other guy, the connection turns back to normal (well still 150ish) And i can continue to play almost lag free. In any other game i play online my ping tends to go as low as 15
I can get into games but i seem to lag everyone down with rediculous pings around 700-1000 I have a ping of around 30 to a 100 max in any other online game i play... I opened/forwarded ports.. got all firewalls down .. it doesnt matter atall Sometimes when a few people leave i can get a decent 150ish ping against a single player and i wont lag anymore... but its pretty obvious thats not going to make me happy...
