make private password protected games or games with the name 'beginners only' new players joining intermediate or pro games are likely to be asked to leave, or kicked. try not to take offence at that.

game startup processor usage spike in Demigod Technical Support Demigod Forums

when i start DG and log onto multiplayer, the processor usage stays 40-50% for the first few minutes and crunches my hdd like no tomorrow. im not even in lobby, just the first multiplayer menu screen. mem usage is not climbing. around 100mb usually. whats going on?

first off, sry if this has been discussed. i propose that the game would have 3 player ranks beginner, this is what you start as, duh : ) intermediate 100-200 games played win rate >40% pro 200+ games played win rate >50% the numbers are quite batshit random atm, but im sure you'll get the idea. I also realize it is not too hard to cook a players stats with premades and nub bashing, however, i think this will be the minority of cases. <

sedna healing ability that can actually heal other players in Demigod Ideas Demigod Forums

i can no longer count how many times ive yelled obscenities when i thought i was healing a soon-to-be dead teammate just in the nick of time, only to discover that the heal was a-f***ing-gain targeted at my own full hp sedna. you all have probably experienced this yourselves. whenever 2 friendly toons are stacked on top of each other or even close to each other, your heals always prioritize your own toon. I dont know a way around this. sometimes there isnt enough time to try to rotate

spit cd is ok, top tiers should have slightly lower damage ooze should be nerfed. increase ub hp loss or...i dunno. reduce its dmg atm ooze+spit+autoattack=death

Indeed. Step 6 should have had a little clarification saying that the folder will specifically have your Windows username. ive seen 2 kinds of comebacks 1. you lock all ports and get creep upgrades 2. team finally extracts head from ass and starts working together. never seen a comeback due to artifacts, infact the 1. kind of comeback has very often been vs a team with uber artifacts but crap teamwork and portal defense. to OP i very much like this idea. also the idea of 80% random shuffle for artifacts.

UB IS imba! ooze + spit + autoattack can reach 500dps at lvl 7. no other dg can mow toons down like ub can. i mean f*** minion ereb or whatever. sure they can be a pain in the ass sub lvl 7, but after that, if they see uuze/spit ub they run like everyone else. at this point, i feel obligated to play ub when my teammates dont choose that dg, since otherwise chances of winning are much lower all else being equal.

lordfrodo sounded more convincing to me than OP. respect ppl, live and let live etc. although, i generally remove 'no premades' tag from my game if i've played with the same gang for more than 2 games. just kinda feels wrong to have that there if i know that im having the same teammates as before. no critique intended tho.

i dont get ppls fascination with supcom i tried it several times to me its just a weak rts imitation of M.A.X (mechanized assault and exploration). M.A.X beats any other RTS ive played (it also has a turnbased mode and as a turnbased game i would rate it second only to master of orion 2) there is absolutely no ingame information or feedback on units and how many hitpoints / dmg they have etc

i would suggest to all new players to host their own custom game 'beginners only' and enforce this by using http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/ to check the stats of the people that join to make sure no wolves in sheeps clothing sneak in. that way you can have balanced games and learn how to play. if nubs join a pro game they: 1. get raped and generally might not find it enjoyable 2. r

we had a 4v4. was going avarage then Phirochu died a few times which is no biggie. didnt rly take notice then he had 400hps and instead of running from enemy ub/reg he went back and started to fight them (they werent low on health or anything like that) alone. He couldve ran easily. He died vs those 2 ofc. I then told him not to suicide. At that point he went emo and said that now he will suicide, and thats what he did for the rest of the game, feeding them free kills. av

if you keep putting AI players in pantheon, people will keep disconnecting. so penalizing first minute disconnects doesnt really work there, unless the game is guaranteed not to START with AI's. Thats not to say that an AI wont take over if someone quits, that should still work the same. I'm just annoyed when there is a team of 3 humans playing vs 1 human and 2 ai.
