Zen, i don't agree with the idea forcing you playing with an alternate, i definitely would not enjoy playing against you guys with an alternate nor anyone but forcing us to play with an alternate is not the same with forcing other teams to play with an alternate under the circumstances because of the thing i mentioned above.
We started this tourney about 3 months ago and the way it was planned, " 2 forced matches per week" it was supposed to be over quite a while ago. We as a team played the most matches for the tourney, was almost always available for matches, never rejected any game offer and never backed out after scheduling for a match and we played well over twice a week until there was no team left to play. My favorite is the first one off the list. And if we do that we should change the picking order system. We should make it like. Dark team picks one dg, light team picks one dg and so on. If we are going for mirror matches i would say lets use DGs only once to have more variety. my proposal would be as follows: -Qot,Ub,Reg (Sedna counters Reg hard with heal so i switched sedna to qot here in order to have more action)
I feel like they should have added another 30 minutes to 1 hour to Inception and create bit more depth for the characters and the concept. It is a good action film based on a potentially good idea but i think it is not nearly good as what it could be.

Well, either way on Friday it will be clear that if it is going to be 3 team finals or 4. Meanwhile let's decide how we are gonna do the finals regarding DG picks(i am referring to my proposal in rules thread). On top of it I am available all day this Sunday. If the rest of final 3 or 4 can have the time this Sunday, let's just play all our 6 matches on Sunday and wrap the tourney?

I am not in panel but i can't play the tourney games until the weekend, so i feel like they should have the time until the weekend anyways. Meanwhile I am off on 18th of December, so would be great to do some tourney matches this weekend or during the week.

Well i really don't want to do the sedna, ub, occ combo 6 more times in the finals personally. And i have a feeling most of you don't feel like it either. I mean i had one of the best games against Pacowsoc in the second round but almost all important matches went with those combos and it got boring. 2v2 late game pn cataract is almost mainly flag hunting, if you lose one portal it is very hard to come back in a 2v2 (cataract). Because there are three important flags that you have to protect. If you don't have two dg's that has aoe it's hell. Because hard to hold the flag against another dg locking it. most of the time that DG and giants will be too much to tank. Apart from making the game last longer, high towers cripples the early game battles and creates tolerance for mistakes. And affects balance as hedgie mentioned. I really don't enjoy it personally.
I will probably not going to be able to play for the tourney until the 8th of December. My monitor keeps going black all of a sudden and it is not very good to play a tourney game that way. Ehm what about free for all with only pick once restrictions. so If team a picks ub rook oak combo first game. they cant use neither of those three the second game. so 9 different dgs are played in 3 matches. I really do not enjoy this restrictions resulting in forced 2-3 combos. edit: i think if we don't get another tourney following up this one soon community will shrink pretty fast again.

I think a bracket system forcing players to play against a particular team each week(or twice a week) would be helpful. On top of that games arranged among players should still be allowed.
Oh, it is great that you are doing that pacov. It's like watching the soccer match of the team that i support(Galatasaray) but on top of it, players are my friends. Good matches like yesterday's is quite a treat.
