Look, if the competitive groups are what makes the game than more than 5% of people will want competitive focused features. Just don't go and read into his post what's not there. After all, stats are a priority, and I doubt stats are such a big deal for the non competitive crowd. It's a matter of resource allocation. If you can work in a feature that 95% of the players want, you don't go work on one that only 5% are asking for. 95 > 5. Simple. No big this game is for casual

From what we've been told in DG if you attempt to cheat, all you'll get is a desync, since the data will differ from the cheater and everyone else's simulations.

English isn't all that hard. Or math. [e digicons]XD[/e] If there's 2000 people playing and only 100 want the "pre-arrange teams", that means only 5% of the players want that feature. Frogboy isn't saying they're focusing on the casual players, he's saying they're focusing on the majority. Which is how it should be.

I dunno, is it working on IT that has changed my perception? Because DG is not incredibly buggy, and I do not expect a patch a day. And some issues are nearly impossible to reproduce, that's just the nature of modern PC software, there's too many variables to able to reproduce everything. And at the end of the day, if the game crashes for 1% of the players... chances are the resources to fix it would be better used somewhere else, and for those players to return

I'm not sure on the relative power of the DG's, but some DG's are less complicated to play than others. There are really no gotchas with UB, it's fairly straightforward to play. Sedna, focus on not dying, don't get Yetis, and you'll be decent enough. Lord Erebus, not as simple as the other two, but can do pretty much everything, and in the hands of a good plyer it will be very hard to kill. The rest of the DG's, with maybe the exception on Regulus (also fairly s

Go Ice TB with Swift Anklets and Speed Boots. Sure, you'll have a hard time killing Sedna, but you'll level faster than her, have more gold than her, and in the end, you'll win.

Multiples of characters can be imba, depending on situation. Sedna's no different. Not much can be done about it, it's just the nature of the beast, some DG's are better at holding flags, others are better at attacking creeps others still at killing DG's or structures.

So, this is pretty much a "I know I've been playing hours and hours of this game, but now I think it sucks! And I want my money back!" So obviously you're a masochist. Wonder if you do the same thing for everything else? "Yanno that movie I've just watched? All 3 hours of it? Though it sucked, gimme my money back." "I've had this shirt for three years, wore it every day, but now it bores me. Gimme my money back." "See, that lunch I had here last

I'd rather play on the smaller maps than having to wait an hour to get enough people to fill or even get 2/3 of the people required to fill one of the bigger maps. And since from what we've been told the code tries to give you a match now instead of waiting for a "better" match in the future, games will usually tend to be between fewer people, on the maps that are made for fewer people. Makes perfect sense for me.

Huh, ban DonofWar. I've played many games, and I've never seen one where a CEO interacts with the players. SD got a fan in me, thanks to Frogboy.

I usually play Sedna as a tank / healer. Buy Monks at the start, Blood of the Fallen as your Favor item, Heal as your starting skill. After that, I tend to play on the defensive side, trying to stay alive and keep my teammates alive, going for Healing Wind when available, at least lvl 2 of Inner Grace before getting Pounce. Items are simple. Scaled Helm, Banded Armor, Hauberk of Life, Vlemish Faceguard. Upgrade as needed, though I doubt you'll need to up
Might work if alt-tab didn't cause the game to explode.
Doesn't for me. Using Vista 64, English. Alt + tab away from the game, never had any issues. Which isn't to say the issue doesn't exist, but it's not an issue for everyone.

It's a team game. You go play any team game and guess what? It's the team that matters. The OP wants to play Demigod like it's a single player game, where his ability to win is the single most important factor in the game, and Demigod will never be that. It's like the best football player in the world playing alone against a decent team and expecting to win. It's not gonna happen. If your team sucks, and the other team doesn't, you lose. It's the nature of the game. Bes

I really can't say. The game is fun, and if supported TF2 style, "real" expansions, could keep going for a good long while, being fun for the players and profitable for the owners. It'll need to overcome it's initial bad publicity and improve on current connectivity. The optimist in me remembers things like Steam when it first came out, all the connection issues they had, predictions of doom and gloom, and yet...
