Just ask if they are premade... And if you have the new overlay you can mostly see it. However they might just be friends playing and not premade, that is a big difference.

Shamefull comercial! Here is a game I played some time ago. We got teamed up with a regulus that went afk for the bigger part of the game and eventually he leaves. So it is 2v3 most of the game and somehow we manage to turn the game and win! Should be a must watch :D

It works very good as I can see. However, for example my stats are not correctly shown. When I play in Custom Games the overlay says that I have played 40-ish games while my Pantheon profile says 65.

Has happened to me several times. This game: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1006379/player/62923/ is an example of it. You can still chat etc but not leave or concede the game. On the bright side I haven't got any invalid gamestates lately but this is almost worse...

Don't worry. The choice is only as long as the current pantheon is ongoing. So when one of the sides have won you can repick a side (when pantheon is finished). Thus, you are not bound to one side forever.
