There is food and farming in the game, however in all the betas I've seen so far the amount of food produced on a particular planet affects the population of only that planet. So in the game so far there's no capability to set up a planet to be a "breadbasket" for the rest of your planets. I suppose this might change before the game ships, though.

I was able to post a score to the Metaverse just now. As you say, it was the first one I've been able to post for a couple of weeks.

When you have stacked ships, and you are trying to create a fleet, it is possible to create a 1 ship fleet that won't be able to be merged with other ships to form a larger fleet. I don't know exactly what causes this problem, since forming the fleet works most of the time. In my current game I have two ships stacked. I select the sector where the ships are to bring up the display of the stacked ships. I click on each so that it appears

Actually I've demanded money from a major, too. I had a huge miiltary advantage at the time, and he said he'd help me out just this once ...

I think Rogerano wanted to recreate the Shadow ship from Babylon 5, no? That's what it looked like to me. And a good job of it, too!

It also says stardock.com later in the post True, but the fact that I've sent over 30 emails to the .net account and only one has been bounced, plus the fact that Stardock has registered both stardock.com and stardock.net, indicates to me that the .net address is valid. In any case I've forwarded the

In another thread I asked whether the fact that the report on minor civs says "If we plan to properly wage war against them, it'd be wise to allocate money towards espionage" was a bug, since there's no way to spy on minors. Since there's been no response so far, I'm posting it here too in case it is a bug.

Read the manual - there's a PDF of an early version available through these forums (look for "User Manual Draft 3"). What you're seeing as borders are "influence zones", within which alien planets have a chance of being overcome by your cultural dominance (this is known as culture flipping).

1) If you go to the Foreign Policy window and then to the Minor Races, you'll see a statement something like this: If we plan to properly wage war against them, it'd be wise to allocate money towards espionage. As far as I can tell there's no way to spy on Minors. Is this a bug or a feature that's not yet in the game? 2) After you achieve advanced levels of espionage on a major, the Reports tab of the Foreign P

I've noticed that when using the find button or the spacebar to select one ship after another, sometimes the selected ship will be just off the edge of the window. I've sent a couple of screenshots to gc2bugs to illustrate the problem.

Can I dispatch my fleet to defend their colony from the Drengin, even if it means technically violating the Altarians' borders in order to do so? And finally, could that type of action improve relations with my ally? There are no borders. You can simply attack the Drengin. I do not believe this will

The Yor just asked me for aid against the Drath, and the response that was pre-filled in the Diplomacy screen was "And jump on the sinking ship that is the Drengin? Doubtful". The response should be "sinking ship that is the Yor?". I'll send a screen shot to gc2bugs.
