The champion level recruiting skill system feels a bit pointless. By the time I research the "recruit L4 champions" skill, most of my champions are leveled to the 8-10 range. Why would I *want* a L4 champion at that point? It needs to be either removed or scaled up. (Instead of skills to recruit champions at levels 3, 4 and 5, have skills to raise the champion recruiting level cap to, say, 5, 10, and 15.)

To make truly versatile quests, what you really need is a scripting system. If FE had a Python interpreter, for example, then the possibilities for building new and interesting quests, campaigns and mods would literally be limited only by the designers' imagination.
When I send pioneers out and try to build a new town, it says that it can't found a new town in a place where there's no grain. When I hold the mouse over the Settle button, the numbers only show up within a few squares of my sovereign, wherever he may be on the map. The AI does not seem to have this same restriction.
I just beat a group of Skath, and won 3 skath fins as loot. Then I got the item description popup for the skath fin 3 times. :(
I just got the notice, "your non-aggression pact with Capitar has expired." But Capitar was wiped out a few turns ago.
Ah. I'm on 0.75. I just downloaded this last night. Have there been two point releases since then? :P
Fight an enemy champion with valuable equipment. They lose, you get their gear. But they're not dead; they get teleported to the nearest city. They still have their equipment. Fight them again, etc...
When I'm on the cloth map view, I can see the forest drake icon. But when I go to build a camp on it, the entire square turns black.
I found a Throwing Knives item, equipped it, entered a battle, and expected to have a "throw knife" command down along the bottom, grouped with my spells, but no command for it showed up.
I just got this same error. Same repro steps. Play through the tutorial, then hit New Game and it crashes. On Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit.
