Those are all very good ideeas. As long as we are talking about new upgrades, how about one called "The Eye of God" (as opposed to the finger of god). This upgrade will completely remove the fog of war. I would sure love to spend my gold on one of those. Also, I think an interesting citadel upgrade would be a single button that rebuilds the last tower that was destroyed. Each time a player clicks on it, it becomes more expensive, so that a team cannot constantly rebuild their
Actually as more and more people complain that enhancing tower damage would affect gameplay more, the more I though of a 'base buff' to friendly teammates, or a base debuff to enemies would solve the problem. Truth be told, there are many simple ways to implement a solution. The form of movement speed + or - I don't believe will fix the problem, as you can just stack movespeed and still end up ignoring towers into the mid-late game. P

It seems to me that the purpose of this thread is to help us identify the RARE situations in which a suicide will actually benefit your team. I still prefer not to suicide, but the math does not lie. Sometimes, especially in the early

Before I started playing Demigod, I started to read about the two classes ( Assassin and General ). I used to think that generals were DGs that had very powerfull minions and just sat back, giving orders and only fighting when they had to. It seems I was wrong. Still, I liked the ideea about a fairly weak general (in terms of fighting) but that had very powerful minions. So here goes. <span style="text-decorat

I generally prefer not to chase an enemy into his base if I think I am going to get killed in the process. But I DO understand how trading kills might pay off. However, why make a kamikaze kill when you can have some basic preparations to be ( relatively ) safe from getting killed by towers. From what I can tell, each DG has his/her own method to hunt down an enemy in his own base without getting killed. Sedna has her healing spells (not to mention that all generals can buy priest ido

Even with all upgrades, towers are still pretty useless. I was once losing a game ( the enemy team was pounding at what towers we had left ) but I had a lot of gold. So instead of buying new armor for me I decided to spend all my gold to get giants and all of the towers attack / defense upgrades. Needless to say, we got our asses handed to ourselves. I would of thought that the towers would at least make a slight difference, but the enemy DGs were actually ignoring them even more. So,
Where does it say that they are supposed to be an EARLY deterrent, and not also a mid-game and late-game deterrent? Let's not advertise our opinions as facts.
Agreed, towers are just a defense mechanism that start to fail as the game progresses. That's why i came up with the "slowing the enemy down" ideea, so that they are not tottaly useless in the mid-late game.

Here's another ideea....what if, when a player is around his towers, he gets a speed buff. From what i understand, the problem here is that players who try to retreat in their base get killed because the towers are useless at higher levels. Well, if towers gave a speed buff, then this problem will be solved without needing to tinker with the damage output. OR... how about this ideea? The tower attacks slow down the enemy (this should be in the form of a citadel upgrade). Towers will s

Well maybe if all the demigods' portraits appeared somewhere on screen (i'm thinking to the right side of the screen ) when they get in your line of sight. Like if you were farming grunts somewhere, there are no portraits, but as soon as a demigod came out of the fog of war and into your line of sight his portrait will appear on the right side (with red or green backgrounds, so you can tell the difference between an ally and enemy ). As more demigods come near you, the portraits will stack on

I am not sure i agree with your solutions to this problem, MrQuizzles, however i do agree that something must be done to prevent someone losing the game just because they made a few stupid mistakes. My ideea is that the towers that protect the citadel should be able to rebuild themselves. How, you ask? <
