Well i personally made up for the gold i spent with kills and assists. Lvl 3 surge of faith in the middle of a creep wave is devastating to say the least. I've played rook several times. You can either build him as a camper or a tower basher. Being a camper means investing as much as you can in towers (and slam + shoulder towers + boulder roll) and building huge tower farms. That way you can easily secure a lane as no enemy in his right mind is going to even attempt to attack you in the middle of your farm (without shitloads of minions or at least a sedna/oak nearby). In this build, your tactic will be to mana and health stack.

I feel for you, man. I have about 30% too. And when some stat-whore kicks me or refuses to play with me i get really frustrated. I mean i am not pro, by any means, but i am not a begginer anymore either. This will be especially nasty when 1.2 comes out with in-game stats. Maybe we'll get lucky and the stats will reset sometime in the future.
