actually, that is an option that must be bound to a hotkey; using it allows you to assign an arbitrary position around/above/below a planet/structure/other ships with the move command button.

I know that the PuddleJumpers can Phase Jump. However, the Ancients use that model for the squadrons as well; additionally, I believe in an earlier post, Volare007 mentioned that the PuddleJumper shouldn't be buildable from the frig factory anymore, and instead only carried by ships as squadrons. An actual fighter/bomber squadron cannot jump (as I'm sure you know), because they are parented off of frigates, capitals, structures, and starbases.

played a bit of Warzone 2100, an open-source ground-base RTS WITH IN-GAME UNIT DESIGN (choose from different hulls, propulsion, and weapons/support systems, w00t!!). It's free for download and I can verify it works w/ Vista 64-bit.

well, just a slight buff to the Subverters, or a SIGNIFICANTLY longer range on the TeleportDisable ability (it should at least outrange the Cielo's Designate Target/Guardian's Repulse ( Also, N3rull, if you note post #12, I mention that it's possible that the Devs forgot to make Disrupt Shields target SBs/Structures because Entrenchment was the 1st thing w

Volare007, I think I noted this, but SQUADRONS CANNOT PHASE JUMP!!!!! This is because they are a parented object, off of ships. However, a simple workaround is scripting the PuddleJumpers as frigates, giving them fighter movement, and having them spawned in a group of 4+ craft. The Atlantis Space Gate is pretty much the same thing as the Antorak's Stabilize Phase Space ability. Also, the origin of the Atlantis is noted in the text file credits.

the mod path is supposed to go into the AppData folder. That's how it works. All copies install the game files into C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire, with User data going into C:\Users\[username]\AppData(or Application Data)\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire. That's just how the game works.

Super Mario; the one that had the 10 Koopas (Bowser+9 brothers), and Yoshis all over the place. Dune 2000- my 1st foray into the world of RTS, I love this game. Battlefield 1942-Vietnam, 2142- I haven't played BF2; if it weren't for Battlefield Vietnam, I would never have become a gamer. Thank you DICE. Sins/Entrenchment- personally, I think this one's a no-brainer. I LOVE this game, and it's much easier to mod than the BF-series. Vega Strike- an awesome free-f

well, that all depend on what you define as a 'cloak'. The SoA2 Star Trek mod has an at least cosmetic cloak on the Klingon scout frig; however it's an easy thing to make a 'cloak' that allows a ship to remain undetected. Just make a passive ability, and the buff it will call will have the following boolmodifier, AND ONLY this modifier if you want to still use this ship- 'CannotBeDamaged'. This line will make enemy ships ignore the owner of the ability. Alternately, you can make it a

aah, but Designate Target outranges the 1st two weapon upgrades on SBs, and SBs for some reason don't engage what's at the range of their LR-weapons, so Designate Target can work. However, I will admit, that with a general buff to the Subverters, and especially TeleportDisable, that it would be useful. Perhaps it doesn't apply because it doesn't affect Caps, or maybe the Devs forgot about it.

I'm just skeptical of the usefulness of this ATM, as Subverters are so weak, and their abilities ranges aren't long enough to get w/in an SBs range and actually work.

well kingspartan, Volt doesn't have Entrenchment (yet I think); and there aren't that many mods for 1.17 anymore, so he'll really have a niche market for it. As for converting to Entrenchment, just look at what he said. Default form he has them in is FOR Entrenchment, so it's an easy matter to convert to it.

Shield Disruption doesn't target SBs because it wouldn't be effective. Designate Target offers a 40% damage multiplier to the target of the ability; Shield Disruption lowers mitigation and increase PM effectiveness. Do the math, Shield Disruption has NONE of the effeciency of Designate Target. Plus- an SBs weapons have the following ranges- 8000 for base weapons, 6500 (6000 on Orky) for close-range weapons, and 10500 for LR-weapons. Designate Target has a range of 9000. Shield Disrupt

so let me get this straight, I NEED 3D Max to do this? CRAP!! I haven't the monetary resources nor the will ATM to even obtain a cheap $100 software. However, a dummy point in Max sounds a lot like a Null Point in XSI Mod Tool.
