Nah mate, Australia inherited its system from the Pommy bastards. I mean British gentlement.

Sometimes I wonder which one of us is better off. You unable to love unconditionally and me who does and does so blindly, disregarding all the potential pitfalls. I thought that my previous realtionship which scarred me so badly would change the way I feel but it hasn't, I'm still as blind as I've ever been.
I scored 100%, can I run for president now? :)
I've always been rather extroverted when it came to expressing my love, the thing I'm always worried about is that I don't overdo it. My ex even once told me not to say "I love you" so often cause it cheapens the meaning of those words. So in a nutshell, no, if I do truly love someone, I have no qualms whatsoever with telling them how I feel and every time I say it, it's always genuine. I might say it often, but I'd never say it if I didn't truly mean
Damn right. Muggaz is the best. You're on for a coffee btw, just drag your arse up to Sydney, cause I can't be stuffed going to Melb
It's Monday, 6:42pm, +14 hours if I'm not mistaken :) (I started timestamping my blogs for that precise reason, lol)
I absolutely agree with MJ, it's much easier to turn a good friendship into a relationship, cause it takes lots of love to be best friends to begin with. Both of my realtionships started out as friendships, before something clicked and passion seemed to have come out of nowhere. Good luck with it. Even if it doesn't work out, as you've said, at least you'll have a good friend, that's worth something, isn't it? :)
Bring on the FA Cup...how shallow does it sound, especially considering that Fergie regarded the FA Cup as a wortheless trophy for so many years. Oh how the mighty have fallen. And look at the opposition, Millwall! Wow! I'm sure the Devils are shaking in their boots. This season's been nothing short of a disgrace. Fair enough Man U have had worse seasons, but they were nowhere near as rich and powerful back then. We should all hang our heads in shame a
All this food talk is making me soooo hungry... I had a brief stint as a vegetarian (mostly cause I was too lazy to cook anything, so I just ate salads), but I just love meat way too much to give it up for more than a week or two.
I don't mind, bitch away, at least that way people won't see you as a whinger, whereas all my moaning and groaning it's out there for everyone to see :) Speaking of Muppets, I couldn't agree more, I enjoyed it for the puppets as a kid, but when I watch the reruns on the Aussie Disney Channel I catch so many things that crack me up that I just didn't understand back then. I wish they were still around, it really was a show in a class of its own
Muggzy, stop whinging mate. Ah, that feels so good, for once I get to tell you that instead of you telling me :P :D Relax mate, it's all good. Though I have been sharing the same apprehensions after discovering that some people I never wanted to find my blog went out of their way and found it.
Yay, the big 100! Congrats Nicky! Goes to show that we have no lives, doesn't it ;)
I agree with Jill, keep writing, that was very nice, I liked it. My poetry phase has lasted for...oh...10 years now I think :) I wish I had all the poems I've written over the years, I've thrown most of them away, must've written hundreds by now :)
Ditto, fingers crossed, really hope you get that job :)
Oh My God...tied for first with Sir Peter...I'm really flattered and thank you to everyone who voted for me. Never thought of myself as the "most interesting" :D That made my day so much better than it had been...Thank you *tears of joy*.
Beautiful poem though, thanks for sharing.
Not a hardcore Pearl Jam fan, but I've listened to them ever since Ten (as regular readers of my blog can attest to). I cherish Pearl Jam for a lot of reasons, but primarily because they evolve. Their music changed over time, grew up, matured so to speak. I picked up "Lost Dogs" a while ago, had a bit of fun trying to guess which songs came from which time period. Got most of them right, except for Yellow Ledbetter, wouldn't have guessed it was from th
Happy B-Day to you, Happy B-Day to you, Happy B-Day Dear Nickyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Happy B-Day to youuuuuuuuuuuuuu... :D Hope you have a great one and many more to come :) And you're 21, don't give me that 34 nonsense ;)
I think I still have the installer for 0.55 somewhere, sheesh, it sure has been a while, hasn't it? Thanks for the trip down memory lane mate
Good luck with the job thing Nicky! Fingers crossed. Ask them if they need a human resource consultant while you're at it, lol :)
I'll have to agree with you there. While I'm an avid supporter of gay marriage/civil unions/whatever I concede that in a democratic society laws have to be passed in accordance with established norms. I will advocate for equal rights, I do lobby my representatives, but that is as far as I ever go with this agenda. Renegade judges, so-called liberal thinking mayors disregarding the law or taking it into their own hands, not only does that make a mockery
I've never kissed anyone I didn't love...so that means I've only kissed three people in my whole life...though I did spend 9 years between them. My first kiss...sheesh, I don't think I actually remember it all that well. I was 14, walked my then-gf to her house, I kissed her on the cheek, she kissed me back on the lips and then one thing sort of led to another, though neither one of us knew actually what we were trying to do, definitely not the best ki
lol...good one mate... :D
Thanks Nicky...indeed, this site has definitely gathered some exceptional people. I only wish I had more time to both write and read others' creations, right now I barely have the time to go through our clique (lol) on a daily basis :)
Ah, but you are beautiful. You have a beautiful mind, heart and soul. Your writing is uplifting and certainly helped a lot of people with their problems. For some of us, that's more than enough you know :)
