Bad Idea: Not much food for the rest of one's life. Good Idea: continually conquering the universe! (Yes, I know it's impossible, but there would always be more to conquer!)
Of the interstellar war genre, I've played and liked both Sins of a Solar Empire and Sword of the Stars. I've also played Galactic Civilizations, which although okay is not at the same level as SotS. The Titan class ship in the new version of Sins sounds like a reason why I might want to buy it, and probably will, but are there any other games of this type out there? It is rather awesome to conquer the universe, and it would be cool to see what other games offer the chance to play at
Banned for being in opposition to the MIB, what have you really got against us? Want aliens to run amok?

Banned because I'm going to conquer the universe and need less competition. How would you like to be millet farmers?

Really, I thought the "elites" were just there to strut their credentials like peacocks strut their feathers. If people actually attempted to use their minds for just one moment the "elites" would suddenly become idiots in comparison. Instead, most people prefer intellectual laziness and the "elites" have no problem with that either since it means they can be lazy too. Oh, and you're banned for implying that there are actually people who are elite.
Banned, for generally customers attempt to think as little as possible and tormenting them might actually encourage them to get their mind working again rather than being mentally lazy and expecting everyone else to pick up the slack.

Okay... has anyone played this game whatsoever and have any advice? It takes like three headshots with a pistol to kill these AI and they have absolute accuracy with which to ebb away my health, and I only have three grenades available with which to throw while not within direct fire. After that I might as well be using the hammer to hit myself on the head with.
This is a question for anyone who has gotten past this level: When the character Warren is finally met, there is an arcade style shooter battle in which the Special Forces of the Company are swarming in the room. The weapons I have available are the hammer, pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, flamethrower, and three grenades. The SpecOps troops with assault rifles enter in through the main door adjacent to the windows and some flamethrower troops enter through a door on the wall adjacent to the w
I image that next will be 128 bit processing, just going by the binary.

I read it when you posted, but I forgot to thank you. I've bought SotS and have now been playing it for a couple of days and I notice that, as per the question about the camera above, in that tactical section of the game, if I left click one of my ships or an
Awesome!!! Hope this new version will be as good or better than Entrenchment.

Bad Idea: No corruption necessary. Good Idea: teaching oneself how to repair computers.
The camera can be a bit annoying if you are used to games like Sins of a Solar Empire. The middle mouse button is how you focus on different ships in combat. I use pause whenever I want to stop to fix my camera or think about strategy.
I've only played SoaSE so far, but what kind of strategies (or tactics) are there in combat? Or is it more a matter of researching things strategically to counteract enemy technologies
