Cool, Star Trek mod.
Would be kinda neat to use this Roman naval tactic in SoaSE. Before the Romans, the Greeks had ships called Triemes which were designed to ram and sink the other ships. Romans built biremes, not designed to sink the enemy ships, but to go along side, attach what is basically a bridge to the other ship, and then send a cohort aboard and kill off the enemy crew.
What is the official story here? With the link calling Diplomacy the last micro-expansion, does that mean that there will be no further development of the Sins Of A Solar Empire game? I hope it will continue to improve and hopefully stay around a few more years, it is a really good game. Weird name, but awesome game.
What I like about the game: 1) that often I can let the game run in background while I do schoolwork. Unlike in Command & Conquer, I don't have to babysit it continually. 2) Graphics and music. 3) The variety of ships and techs. 4) The Akkan Battlecrusier, cool ship that is both a colony ship and warship, and like traditional ships fires from the broadsides.
I'm thinking that with all the nanite research the Vasari were doing, and that in the intro to Sins they were running from something developed on a research station, that they could have brought about something similar to the Borg.
I like this game very much, and I am wondering about compatibility issues with the upcomming Windows OS. In my service plan with Best Buy, I can get it upgraded for free to the new OS. However, if it will prevent this game from working I would rather not upgrade. I know that newer versions of windows have compatibility modes to run programs meant for older operating systems, however Vista failed at being compatible for C&C The First Decade, and this OS also being made by Microsoft doesn't
