And as you said, to negate time you would have to be traveling at 1.0c or faster - which is a little bit harder than .999c. yes, but, once you achieve 1.0c of faster, its easy as pie... just because its hard for our level of tech now, doesnt make it hard for the incredibly advanced ancients...
While the time dilation and other effects may seem nice, you also have to deal with the increase in mass.

There is no such thing as "red matter", and Nero is still enjoying his life choice of honest labor, and Ambassador Spock is still on Romulus teaching logic to those that will listen. In other words TREK XI never happened as far as we are concerned.

The Akkan Battlecrusier does have the networking ability to add range and accuracy to a fleet.

Perhaps the AI should have some better judging ability of: This will destroy me if I attack it, so lets not attack it. Of course, that could get lame.. it is neat to see defenses holding out.. however a human player wouldn't do it.

Somethings you just can't face head on. Really though: If you can't destroy something, run past it. Remember France and all their invincible defenses? Then the germans just ran past them? Bliztkreig? Same deal.

Navy is more likely, just due to the whole Battle ship , Battle crusier , Carrier , and even Dreadnaught nomenclature, which are all nautical terms. Though if there's going to be a dispute, how 'bout TDNN, Trader Defense Naval Network.

Perhaps this could be a general screenshot thread, and then there could be specific screenshot threads (perhaps with contests, though I don't think a prize could be tangible.... at least not from somebody on my budget) for specific mods or versions of the game.

Their specialty is economy, so who knows. Perhaps each capital ship has a broadcast center onboard, and that may be why they deplete enemy culture. Sure beats Picard saying "I am Captain Jean Luc Picard of the United Star Ship Enterprise..." back in one of the shows of the first or second season. It's like, United Star Ship? How lame.

As for the game though, the T in TDN most likely stands for Trader. The suggestion for Terran, or Terrestrial, or even Tellurian, would be more to the effect if the acronym were representative of Latin words, as the words translating from English "trader" do not start with a "T" in Latin.

Here are some more. I'm kinda glad that the hotfix didn't break the game I had saved from the September 30th update, since I like the configuration here a lot on this map. <

I'm using photobucket, but if you ever leave your account inactive for too long, they delete everything. I had considered uploading to my facebook albums, but facebook tends to be ban-happy even about just adding too many friends in too short a time.
