986FS WinXP Pro and of course - GalCiv 1 hehehehehehehe
Or the planet buster like Species 8472 from ST VOY
Solitair - you can already form alliances with minors in GalCiv 1 - which does the exact same thing.
an take a dozen combat transports. For balance issues, the Black Class Combat Transport doesn't show up until you get Overlord technology, and it is expensive, but you should only need one or two to invade a 100bil population planet.
fic amount of controllable space around it and other ships (unless allied or at war with you) cannot enter them without permission or without causing a war.

inks they've won, a powerful fleet under a powerful leader jumps out into the fray, shredding Excaliburs like wheat!
I doubt it, myself. As Brad has said before, we are the leader of an empire, not a tactiction.
t amount PER race sounded a lot better. For instance if the Yor are neutral, and the Altarians friendly, you might have 2 routes for the Yor to use, and 4 for the Altarians. More routes...

staffed at all. You also could set up prority lists for what gets employment first. Will GC2 do the same? Will you be able to specify that you want employment in military before farms or industrial before military?

Actually, I got the demo, but I can't play it. I get the error: "Failed to Initialize Display" even with drivers 61.77 (newest, released 7/27/04) for my GeForce FX 5950 Ultra. Any ideas?
We would be even higher with another 11,000 point game, but for some reason GalCiv posted it as Anomolous with a score of 0. They suggested I re-submit the game.
Another problem - the problem with the AI always leaving their ships in place. I had something like 40 - 50 ships sitting in one spot (Dregin), and they cluttered up the area horribly. Also, I've had problems where aliens can talk to me and even declare war when I do not have a Universal Translator, but without one, I cannot ask for a peace treaty.
CariElf - In a fit of anger, I deleted all of the save games and the game itself. However, I can send you all of my games here at home (since I have the same problem here) One note - I am using custom made parties. I am including the bonus parties.party file, else it really will not load (nothing else is changed)
The problem: I start a game, and I save it. I can re-load the game all I want inside of Galciv, but if I exit and restart, the game is lost. It will never load again. This happens every time without fail. I end up with no choice but to keep playing in order to keep from losing the game. I'm not sure if I'll continuing playing if I can't even stop playing long enough to sleep without losing everything I did.
