I was a HUGE HUGE fan of CS and you have no idea how much! I had a clan ( [BUD] ), we had our own server and I was, in all modesty, pretty damn good at it, especially with the MP5 (yeah, you read me right: the MP5! Not the most powerful but I dare you to get in front of me when I got one But, sadly, I decided to get away from it because it was too much time consuming. I could play hours and hours each da

Dreamweaver rules Personnaly, it's my tool of choice for building web pages. But, as DWM pointed out, it's not what tool you use that count... it's the results. Anyway, by providing links to tutorials I personnaly appreciate, I didn't expect some people would take things to a personnal level. As a community, we should make sure we respect each other. Now, with so much good links published on this threa
I've personnaly bought the WOW Book for PS 5/5.5 and it's a very great book. Lots of clear & useful tips & tricks. Definitely worth it's pennies.

Over the past months, I've gathered some very neat links on Photoshop tutorials where you can learn great techniques. In the interest of the community, I thought it would be good to share some of these links with you Lynda.com http://www.lynda.com/tips/index.html Design by Mark
Xymantix touched a very good point here which I agree with. But I would like to reinforce that because you get a low rating doesn't mean you're not a good artist! The thing is that not enough people rate skins/walls which means that if a single user doesn't like your skin and rate it 1, then you're out of luck So that's why I say you shouldn't be too concerned about your rating, especially if only very few
Just checked and now your rating is 4 so your wallpaper should be available to everybody using default settings
I think it's because of the rating your wallpaper gets. In your profile, by default, you will filter artworks that gets score under 3. Sadly for you, the rating of Clear Window is actually 2 which probably explains the situation. Hope this will help you understand
HeyYou, no offense here but I think you misunderstood what we were talking about. 1. What we explained is CodeRed exploit a vulnerability in IIS which is due by an unsecured dll. Everybody that runs IIS *have* to patch their system. That's it. We never said people with Unix or Linus server should patch or that if your firewall blocks inbound/outbound connection on port 80 you should be concerned (although patching is still a good thing to do). Still, if a PC contaminated by CodeRed
doh... too bad
Mmm, the DNS doesn't even resolve the hostname. Maybe this domain name is to sell
I agree with your MobiusCo on the linksys router w/ integrated firewall. Some of my friends use it (4 port one) and it's a very very neat product! I'm in fact thinking to buy one soon. I use Symantec Personnal Firewall, which is quite good, but I would rather like to use an hardware solution so I wouldn't have to open my server for my other pc's to browser the web. And it would also spare me some precious resources by not running the firewall service <img src="http://images.stardock.com/imag
I don't know which version of CodeRed is actually stricking but I have an unbelievable amount of log of IP's on my firewall (and to make sure I scanned some of them) trying to access the HTTP service on my PC (which isn't installed anyway) and they're almost all coming from 24.*.*.* which is mainly the cable modem address range. Not only that, but my cable modem receive light keeps flashing since yesterday and I'm almost sure it's that virus that cause it. The most frightning thing is
For the antivirus program, I have personaly no problem at all. I use Norton Antivirus 2001 with default protection settings (Bloodhound, etc.) with the Auto-Protect activated (real-time virus protection). Worth a look if you had problems with other products.
I would call it the "Divorce Toolkit - How to drive your wife insane" I think I'll spare my wife's heart by not considering this kit Very interesting kit though.
Yeah, that efnet network is a pain to get in. But I would be more than pleased to idle in too, as our friend AJCrowley said Of course, if each of us wait for everybody to get it, nobody will actually use the chat room. So if I manage to log on that $/"@! efnet network, i'll do my contribution and park in, hopefully helping in giving it a new life <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gi
Why don't WC have its own official irc channel? Is it simply due because it's considered priority "Z" or is there a deeper reason behind... anybody can tell me?
There's a new product coming out from Stardock which is called Convergence that will target this need right on spot. You can get more info about it right here: https://www.stardock.com/products/convergence But for now, you can integrated suites there : http://www.dangeruss-industries.com/ http://www.integration-worx.com/home/home.asp http://thredziii.com/skins.php I surely forgot many other sites but at least, it's a good start :o)
I've been ICQing her lately but had no response...
Lol at Dork I know Convergence is made to create theme packs but what will they be made of? A bunch of skins created there and there, that doesn't necessarily match each other? I'm talking about skins integration. Integration means every components fits 100%, like pieces in a puzzle. Convergence will undoubtely be a key product to simplify the management process of each theme pack.
Don't worry craeonics, i'm listening
I was thinking lately how beneficial it could be for the community if some designers could team up and unite their skills. Let me explain. Instead of having only one person doing all the work, which represents countless hours, what would happen if some designers team up and split the workload? Would it decrease production time since all the work process would be splitted? Would it increase the quality of the skins coming out thanks to melting of ideas? Would it favors the emergence of more
It goes back when I was about 6/7 y.o. when I got an Atari 2600. Shortly after I got a Timex Sinclair, which thought me my first lines of Basic. Then, when I was about 10, I got the ancestor of the PC generation (thanks to my dad) : an 8088 PC XT, 4.77MHz, 512KB RAM, 2x360KB 5 1/4" floppy (no HD and no mouse) with DOS 2.x. Oh, let's not forget my mamooth CGA monitor that goes with it! I was really the king of the hill ! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 A
Btw, if you happen to be interested on monitoring overall Internet activites, check this site : www.internettrafficreport.com It will help to see how CodeRed will be affecting the Net.
Maybe I can help but it would be easier to chat in realtime so I can get needed infos to try some things out :o) You can contact me on ICQ # 26575995 if you want.
