To be able to upload, you need to sign in and to be able to sign in you need to have cookies enabled. For your firewall problem, it's not related to WinCustomize. You should rather check your firewall rules. Maybe you haven't configured them properly. Hope this helps

Good stuff! I've also read the interview on Teknidermy and it's very interesting. I believe that every artist that can set himself apart because of the quality and originality of its creation deserve to be honnored. /me raise my hands and applaud Paul

Wonderful news! But even with a new costier server that can handle more requests per seconds, each of its bits has to be used wisely. Otherwise, it won't take long before it gets back to its knees

Congratulations guys!!! It's also good to have an "official" spell checker around. Hope that Jhaffo... oops, Jafffo... damn, Jafoow... aargh, Jaf-O... bah, anyway, hope Mr J. will be patient with us

An easy way, I think, to "patch" the problem for upcoming submissions would be to restrict the file size of thumbnails uploaded. Also, for all the thumbs actually stocked on your server, I've discovered a cheap tool that can process files in batch (with many effects supported) so that you could convert in few steps all your actual thumbs to make them fits your size needs. (http://www.prismaticsoftware.com/Photobatch/PhotoBatch.html) Frogboy, for the "switching" idea, if i'm right, you

Here are my suggestions: 1. Create an "official" moderated (and I insist on moderated) channel on IRC. That would let artists have instant interactivity between them and increase the sense of community. 2. Create a brief one-page-only monthly or weekly registration-based newsletter covering topics like new stuff, design techniques, etc. and which would serve as an incentive to attract people to the site. 3. Have regular contributors/columnists that would offer magazin

It's no secret: bandwidth issue is severely degrading performance lately on WinCustomize. So I told to myself: What could be done to "patch" this issue since buying bandwidth is *very very* costy. Here's what I come with. (Btw, sorry for my lack of english vocabulary. I'm a french speaking guy so I'll try to do my best to explain things clearly). I've noticed there's no filtering on submissions file size. Whether it is a zip file or a jpg thumb, my "investigation" showed me there are i

I understand your point FrogBoy. But I just want to clarify that for me, using XP wasn't to boost hits. I don't want hits - I want people to enjoy my work. Flat and square. Since the picture I used comes from XP, I thought it would be fair enough for me to give credit to the product and use this theme. I don't care what people believe to be my goals. If people downloads it I assume that's because they like it and i'm happy with that. The issue I pointed out is the model used

Weeew! I must admit that i'm really disappointed here I mean, that's not an incentive for us, newbies, to get involved in. I really don't consider that my work, eventhough it's "another" XP theme as some may say, deserve such low rating. In fact, it was only showing a fraction of my skills in design with Photoshop... I was actually working on a WB skin but I seriously consider not to put time in it a

mmm, since i'm new around, I have to admit you lost me with that rating stuff. I posted my wallpaper yesterday, how can I be low-rated in less then 24h? I've posted it on Deviantart at the same time (yesteday afternoon) and I'm getting already about 100 hits so far so people seems to appreciate it. Also, what do you mean with the About section? Is it the one on the topmost menu near Messageboard and Contact? Thanks again.
