Sorry for the derail pacov. [e digicons]:puke:[/e] I am just extra peeved because I actually think this "tutor" feature is very nice, but I can't appreciate it because of the DRM. [e digicons]:S[/e] On topic question, does the tutor feature have some kind of rating system? To be fair to the tutor and the student, there really should be both a "Tutor Helpful Rating" and a "Student Quality Rating." That could minize the amount of possible abuse o

Hi gang: I have used windowblinds for a looong time now. There are always minor annoyances, however, at this point, I would really like to hopefully resolve them. [e digicons]:pout:[/e] 1) Ever since vista was first introduced, I have been hoping for a way for application that are excluded from being skinned by WB to "fall back" to the Aero themes. Is there a way to do that right now? I know there is an option to use the "Aero Frames" but there are 2 is

Unfortunately, no :( But I did find a work around, use the wallpaper changer in WB. So it may actually be a WB problem? Did you have installation issues with WB like I always do? Also, is there an option to configure the wallpaper browswer of WB to ALSO SCAN THE SUB DIRECTORIES ? It is painful to add every single folder of my wallpaper directory one at a time... thanks &

Hiya First of all, thanks for the great applications! I usually don't have any complaints of any of the Stardock applications (and I have lots [e digicons][/e] ). However, after installing Fences (which is great btw) and updating WB, IP and few other applications using Impulse, I cannot change the wallpaper on my Vista 64 system anymore. I can go to the wallpaper browser and select different pictures, but they never actually get "selected" a

My question is simple: Why can't AMD and NV work together for once, and help further improve the PC gaming market? To be more specific. I understand that there are a lot of pride and money going around that prevents partnership, and to be honest, as the consumer we prefer it that way. Since competition (hopefully no shadyness associated) is a good thing. However, I do think there are things that everyone (consumer, AMD, NV) could benefit if AMD and NV agreed with each other. Things l

Long time OD user here and this is the first time that I have encountered this problem. Lately I have been doing a lot of reinstalling on my new systems, since I had a lot of issues initially with impulse on both of mine Vista 32 and 64 bit systems. I have never had this sort of problem before, and I have been using OD for years. Did I do something wrong to somehow cause the activation max to be reached? thanks

Okay I have an update: To Stardock: I think there are some problems with Impulse's installer for vista x64. In particular I think Impulse isn't handling the permission and file ownership properly, thus causing installation of some programs to not to be complete. In this case Iconpackager and some other programs doesn't work after they are installed. I have installed Iconpackager using SDC instead of Impulse this time, and IT WORKED! So to anyone that has pro

Thanks for the help Finhbar. However, my steps are almost exactly the same as yours. Unfortunately, iconpackager still don't run. I went into the Iconpackager directory and tried to run the IconPackager64.exe and here is what I get... sigh... [Window Title] D:\Program Depot\X86 Programs\Stardock\Object Desktop\IconPackager\IconPackager64.exe [Content] D:\Program Depot\X86 Programs\Stardock\Object Desktop\IconPackager\IconPackager64.exe The a

Hmmm I just got the latest 065 update and when I hit "run" stil nothing :( Maybe one of my previous installation wasn't uninstalled completely? Can you guys tell me which files/registry info should I get rid of? I am using vista x64 sp1. I have disabled UAC, and I have installed stardock programs on a NON-default location (maybe this is the problem? Does it have to be on the C:\Program Files directory?) thanks

Hiya I am experiencing the same issues that others have reported with the latest IP v3.99.x in Vista 64-bit. I would like to revert back to version 3.20 for now, until version 4.00 comes out. Is there a way to access previous versions using impulse or SDC? thanks

One really useful feature that I think deserves a mention is the fact that in Vista ctrl-alt-del works even if you have an app that is locking up the system. I have both XP and Vista system that I use, and having to sit there and wait on the locked up application to relinquish some CPU time so I can pull task manager up in WinXP is just so painful now that I have seen what I can do in Vista...

Thanks Lionheart and Blair! My recent Beta testing for a space RTS that doesn't have 3D movement left some really bad tastes in my mouth @Blair: your comments here I think deserves to be stickied somewhere. Availability of advance tactical control such as moving ships in 3D, and the presence of limited customization of ships are points that I am sure any fan would want to know, and an

Good to hear that you guys are going to go at it again schem and TFL Blair: I am not worried about the 10 min wait. I was just wondering if there is going to be some technology that can speed up the travel. I ask this purely for strategic reasons, since if such tech exist, teching to it may be vital if the map is HUGE (ie many galaxies)
