Wizz---remember something, grasshoppa....being a desktop tinkerer means NEVER having to say yer sorry......[eh, i'm sure there's an exception somewhere, just can't get a vibe what it is right now...] Having cleared that bit of epistemological etiquette......the objectdock problem is still something I am watching to see if it's going to continue. Right now I'm just elated that I seem to have a foothold on a rudimentary understanding of VB script, thanks to Dav

correction------objectdock not objectbar
Wizz---the best I can tell you, as a tinkerer, is to download both beta DX reg and beta DX pro, install reg first, then pro----you should be prompted to restart computer and then things should be good to go....
Another observation---now that DeskTopX is up and running properly, there is still a minor glitch I'm noticing---Object Bar malfunctions and has to be unloaded and reloaded. This seems to be reproducible.
Redneck....I need to submit an update here after more tinkering.......I downloaded and installed the beta versions of DeskTopX regular and pro, installed them in order and now things are running fine. I guess someone at the R&D department was paying attention. So I'm in sync with your comment. Windows7 Ultimate 32bit on laptop and Vista Home Premium 64bit on desktop. Redneck---thanks for all your hard work and contributions---I've used your stuff many tim
Gotcha....thanks Wizard...you have a great holiday..
DX 4 is what I have installed and that seems to be a problem I notice in browsing posts...perhaps I should install DX 3.5 instead? Is 3.5 still available to install from somewhere?
Anyone have an idea, suggestion, or similar experience with the DXScript window not appearing when clicking on the "New" button correlating to the script function when you create a new object in DestTopX? I installed DestTopX and DeskTopX Pro and was going through David Roman's tutorial. At the scripting section, the DXScript window won't appear, though after hitting "New" the other buttons appropriately change to "Remove" and "Edit". The Remove button
"....the reality that there is no 'righ to free speech' on a private forum...." Exception: Authority figures with a midget widget complex.... Other thoughts: The beta wincustomize has worked fine for me----quick navigation and downloads, never even noticed there was a problem. Maybe just a function of the wireless I'm using? Object DeskTop components provide great creativity tools and the contributors here inspire creativity.
Does anyone remember a time when you could access, for example, wallpapers in a RANDOM way, that is jumping to pages, instead of the slow cumbersome eternal mouse clicking SEQUENTIAL method that exists now? Talked to the Stardock people on phone, and supposedly they are working to get that system back again. Just trying to get people to make noise about this. Why be confined to browsing the ends of the collections?
oops, sorry about that last loud post.....
