So in regards to Tourism features, after looking at the XML's I am now wondering why you have not limited said Features to matching Planet traits. It is there in the XML just unused, from the PlanetFeatureDefs.xsd :- This is a QoL thing and such a small amount of code to add:- <SupportedPlanetTraits&
Horemvore
Only need 2 tile spacing, not 3 as set in GlobalDefs.
There is no changing of game files.
While we can edit all the relevant xml files for these assets to be able to have our own movies/sounds etc, the game still insists on looking for these assest in the games installation folder, not the mod folder (...GC3Crusade\Mods\My Mod\Gfx or GC3Crusade\Mods\My Mod\Music etc). Most of these xml's are located in the Core folder, not sure that has anything to do with it mind. This forces modders into having to install these files in the games installation folder for the to work.
I'm playing Terran. I don't believe there's an option in the Tutorial. A City (at least in this scenario) requires 3 Duranthium and 5 Promethion. It would be nice to learn that they backed off from that in other scenarios and the sandbox.
That is a bug, needs reporting. Humans require food for Cities synths require Durantium and Promethion.
And, as it turns out, they eat Duranthium and Promethion. Since there is no Promethion in the Tutorial, there is no way to build a City, so "Never Mind".
You did not mention you were playing Synthetic. Food is irrelavant for them :). And yes cities require other resources for synths. Same buff thou (population) if you do not recive it,once your in a game where your able to build said cities then I'd post a bug report. (Not h
There is no Opt-In right now, it went live on Monday.
I have yet to see the purpose in Cities. IMO, they are one of additions to the game that exist just to use up tiles.
Completely wrong, Cities add to Population which adds to Raw Production which in turn adds to Research, Wealth and Construction in a ratio of 1RP = 1R/1W/1C.
Is it? I only have Crusade installed, but have been suffering from the same lack of documentation. The manual I can load from the game screen is version 1.03 and utterly useless. If there is an updated manual on the hard drive, why does the game screen button still link to the old version?
Yeah, points finger at Stardock....one of the many many inconsitancies with the game. (Manual is in your main game folder (Galactic Ci
It is Global, but, farms mostly, depend on Arable Land, which can be scarce depending on map settings which then leave you with just the Hydroponic Farm that gives 1 food, need 4 per City....you see where this is going.
It dawned on me that Starbases aren't the "need a constructor to upgrade" style. I wonder if the "free" builds increase maintenance costs?
Some do, some do not.
Comments have led me to believe that one needs a certain population to make use of them. Why can't I build Cities?
Farms for food, food for Cities, that is the current chain. Albiet a bit broken depend
How am I to provide a link when it is on your hard drive? Hmmmm? I know.....your computer does not exist. Learn to open your eyes and actually do computer stuff yes? Like um, look. Snoty git.
Stardock, what have you done?
I think they wanted to push on to GC4 so decided to kill the game and launch Retribution.
Farms produce food, Food allows you to build Cities which in turn increase Population :) As to the rest, play without Retribution (its sucks b****, takes the game in a direction most old school players hate), the manual is upto date as far as Intrigue and worth a read, theres is a Lets Play series on youtube by Christopher Holmes, it is well wroth a watch.
I read in the patch notes that the Precursor Worlds that granted a Resource bonus (Promethion World for example) got fixed. Yeah! Or is it? The Flat value for this now acts like the OneTime value, for example this code used to grant 0.2 per turn and now only grants 0.2 or in game terms, nothing:- ThuliumIncome <span style="color: #ff6600;"
So with Retribution we can no longer have Tourism buildings on every planet, fixes the whole OP thing which is a good thing! BUT, now we have all these nice fancy Planet Traits and Features (oh and events which I forgot) that grant Tourism bonuses that are all going to waste, balance pass please. :) (Change them etc)
Got a save game of the AI getting this 500k-1m credits? Sounds like a bug. Playing with the latests version 3.7? Well, 30 ships after 200-300 turns, you forgot to build stuff :)
LMAO, 5 times I had to read that reply to get it.
Side note - If the game had a scaling per map size, not just for Artifacts but in general, more than half the complaints about the game would be moot points.
Yeah welcome to the ingame tools :) xml ftw.
Manual is upto date as far as Intrigue. Roads and Artifacts come with retribution which is fairly new and lacking docs.
In the Galaxy setup screens, under Galaxy Options we have a whole section dedicated to Anomalies, this had one entry in it for anomalies. Would be nice to have this changed to Galaxy Features (i dunno, sounded right but does not...) and have options (Rare, Common etc) for:- Anomalies Planet Features Planet Traits Artifacts
