I agree with most of what cale_knight said but i still feel the game needs a couple more decent patches to get it upto a level where i'll love playing it. Right now it crashes on me rather alot but push through that and it's still a fun game, and like any other strategy game in the first week of launch it just needs some balance.

About summons, I know the spellbook has been removed but there are two things i've noticed in my game: #1 Custom sov's i gave the summoning book to before the patch have still got it. #2 One of my sov's that doesn't have the spellbook and was created post patch can summon bears and fire giants and elementals and stuff now. Is this how everybody else is experiencing it? Also regarding mouse clicks, i find the

I just had a strange scenario where the gildar had built a city next to what seemed like each resource tile (without over laps at level 1) and defended each with a single level 1 champion. Sufficed to say i just walked in with a couple of peasants and my sov and took over and razed every single one of them, so yes the AI is a little inefficent right now.

With the current state of the game, turn desyncs, random crashes and freezes etc. It would be nice to have a wait cursor for when the AI's are takeing their turn, just an hour glass icon or something similar, so we know if the game's frozen or just processing the odd massive troop movement. Other than that just fix the crashes and i'll be pleased with my purchase, it's been a fun process trying to learn the best ways to crush my enemies in a new take on the 4x genre.

Companies really are vastly more powerful than single units. If you have a company of 8 units they could quite probably take out an enemy army of 12 of the same single units and a sovereign (the AI isnt great with spells or archers right now). Also i think something should be done about the AI stupidly charging into -defence % tiles to face your forces standing on hills, it makes alot of fights laughable when they would otherwise be a close call.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but i recently found that if you select a unit/city and click the portrait in the bottom bar it gives you all the detailed information in a much more easy to read format. The city version is kind of similar to the Civ IV city view.

My phenom II black edition handles it pretty well. So it's not all AMD, although i do use a tool to disable the windows tlb patch which chokes some AMD processors quite badly. Anyway the OP's processor has a terrible FSB speed, 800Mhz is bad... very bad. That'll kill your performance more than the clock speed ever will and would explain why overclocking does absolutely nothing. On another note supreme commander is an entirely different game, it was designed to allow you to hav

I'm not sure if it's possible with a single unit. The only way i've found is to make a group of more than one unit before attacking, just adding a single peasant to your army should do the trick. Think of fleets in galciv 2, if you had a fleet you could watch the fire fight, but if you had lone ships it was all played out on the main map. It's much the same concept here.

First of all the game is pretty stable for a 0day version. Nice work and thanks for pushing it out on time for us. System Specs: Windows 7 x64 ATI Radeon 5870 AMD Phenom II 3.6ghz 4GB RAM Ok now onto what i've noticed. Graphical Bugs: Border Colours - I've noticed a small glitch that happens when i conquer a minor race, the edge of my border changes to their colour, strange but not exactly game break
